Teachings from Namo Amituofo:
'A body of pure emptiness, a form of boundless infinity' refers to the sublime state of the spiritual bodies of beings in the of Ultimate Bliss. Their forms are pure, spiritual, and void; their forms are as free and unobstructed as the infinite. They exist with the absolute freedom and unobstructed ease of the infinite, possessing a clear, boundless nature identical to that of Namo Amituofo.
Every being in the Western Pure Land possesses its own true nature and is inherently a Buddha.
Upon passing away, when a soul enters the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, they immediately receive the blessing and empowerment of Namo Amituofo, becoming a steadfast, non-retrogressive .
Although they have not yet fully attained Buddhahood, the spiritual capacities they possess are identical to those of Namo Amituofo himself. As they ascend through the progression of the Four Lands, Three Classes, and Nine Grades, their spiritual nature becomes increasingly pure and luminous, allowing them to exercise the sovereign, unimpeded powers of a Buddha with perfect ease.
In contrast, sentient beings on Earth reside within the worldly realm of the evil world of the Five Turbidities. Their karmic bodies are a mixture of good and evil causes and effects. The manifestation of their innate, spiritual abilities increases with their level of mental clarity; when their purity reaches a state of absolute purity and perfect goodness, the full capacities of are completely unveiled—marking the exact moment of realising one's true nature.
Spiritual cultivation is the definitive pathway to realising this true nature. Prior to this , practitioners cultivate by dwelling in purity—or by ordaining as a monk or nun—distancing themselves from worldly desires and practising with fierce diligence. Ultimately, they return to the primordial, pristine state of their true nature.
Within this tradition, Pure Land cultivation focuses on purifying and mind through prostrations, chanting the Buddha’s name, and reciting the Sutras. This constitutes the essential daily practice of a Pure Land practitioner.
Currently, Namo Amituofo abides at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. During daily cultivation, the Buddha frequently radiates light to bless the fourfold assembly of disciples as well as the spirit-realm beings in attendance.
Those who grasp the sublime magnificence of the Buddha’s light are filled with deep . Receiving the Buddha's empowerment and being illuminated by this light effectively purifies both body and mind, accelerating one's spiritual attainment. This represents a profound resonance between one’s own and the Buddha’s power—an encounter that is truly extraordinary and rare to come across.
Therefore, Pure Land practitioners living amid the evil world of the Five Turbidities who aspire to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss will naturally inherit a body of pure emptiness and a form of boundless infinity.
Through fierce diligence, one can realise their true nature and attain full Buddhahood, gaining the sovereign freedom to travel to and from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss at will—completely unbound by life and death, liberated from reincarnation, and transcending the Three Realms. This is a magnificent opportunity to attain Buddhahood, save the world, and liberate sentient beings—an opportunity that cannot be replaced by anything else!
