Chad Morgan:
I am grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre for saving my suffering soul. I never knew that after death, one could enter hell to be punished for the deviant behaviours committed while alive. I have learned this important lesson through my own personal experience.
After death, my spirit arrived at a place filled with copper pillars. These pillars were extremely hot and radiated intense heat. My lower body was constantly scorched by these flaming, high-temperature copper pillars, bleeding and festering incessantly. In a very short time, my body would recover, only to continue the agony of my lower body being destroyed by fire.
It hurts so much! I could not help but let out a heart-wrenching wail. I had no idea why I was experiencing this; I was only told that this place was called the "Copper Pillar Hell," and because I had committed wrongs while alive, I had to come here to repay them and receive punishment.
Just recently, a golden light appeared in hell and shone upon my spirit. As a warm and powerful voice called my name, I was instantly pulled by a force to where I am now, the Western Land of Dharma Nature, which is located at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.
By listening to sutras and hearing the Dharma on the Dharma-Nature Land of the temple, I finally understood that the reason I fell into hell was due to my indulgence in sensual pleasures and sexual misconduct. As a well-known country singer with many opportunities to tour, I could be considered successful in my career.
However, success brought with it various tests, testing whether my heart could remain steadfast and not be tempted by the desires of . Yet, never having understood what the universal principle and the righteous path of Truth were, how could I have known what was wrong with pursuing the satisfaction of bodily desires and romantic love between men and women?
Therefore, education is truly a very important matter. Without receiving the education of the Buddha’s teachings, one would not understand what is right and what is wrong. This standard of right and wrong is based on the universal principle and the righteous path of Truth, which is the highest principle operating in the universe.
It turns out that as long as one of the parties involved in a sexual relationship is already married, such behaviour falls into the category of sexual misconduct. Even from a more subtle perspective, if one has harboured such thoughts in their heart, that is also committing sexual misconduct.
To give a very simple and easy-to-understand example: if a married man develops for a woman other than his wife, or even harbours thoughts of pursuing greedy love, that falls into the category of sexual misconduct. At the peak of my career, I indeed lacked self-control in my life. My dissolute state of mind caused me to commit many sins.
However, although I eventually stopped these behaviours and had a stable marriage, deep down, due to a lack of awareness that "sexual misconduct is wrong," I still held onto those thoughts and had not truly changed. Consequently, I did not actively repent for the wrongs I had committed, and the subtle thoughts deep within my heart were not truly corrected. This situation led to my spirit having to go to the Copper Pillar Hell to receive retribution after death.
Listening to Practitioner Su’s lectures on the Dharma-Nature Land, I slowly understood these principles. I am very grateful to have met Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and to have learned this precious knowledge.
Now, my view on human life is completely different. Education is truly so important. If one receives the correct education, it will have a very profound and positive impact on a person. What is taught at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is not only the principle of , but also provides learners with the opportunity to attain the true benefits of not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die.
I want to tell my son that I am now living a very happy and fulfilling life on the "Western Land of Dharma Nature" at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. I have never felt my heart so peaceful and so secure.
Here, I really have nothing to worry about or be troubled by; there is absolutely no pressure. I am chanting "Namo Amituofo" very freely and am very happy.
As for your father’s life, you are actually very clear about it, but I am not certain what you have learned from it, nor do I know whether the impression I left on you was good or bad. I truly hope you can come to this place, take a good look, and listen to what Namo Amituofo is teaching.
Before coming, you can take the highway from Brisbane to Toowoomba and see the Namo Amituofo billboard there. This billboard has saved many, many suffering souls in Australia, including lonely wandering spirits and suffering sentient beings in space. I was very moved after seeing it, because as a singer, we actually hope to bring spiritual strength to everyone through music and art.
However, because I did not understand the universal principle and the righteous path of Truth in the past, although I had good intentions, it is unknown how much of the influence on people who listened to my music was positive and how much was negative.
Regardless, as a singer, I always hoped to express the deep emotions of the soul through my singing, allowing the listener to find salvation for their soul. Now that I see the Namo Amituofo billboard set up by the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Brisbane, I finally understand what true salvation for the soul is—it is allowing suffering souls, Being bathed in Buddha light, to reach a safe, bright, and beautiful place.
In the spiritual realms, one can clearly see that many souls have come to the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre because they were bathed in the golden light emitted by the Namo Amituofo billboard. This is a world of light, a Buddha-land established by Practitioner Su after realising his true nature and attaining Buddhahood. Its purpose is to allow countless suffering souls who have nowhere to go to come here to settle down, and to give everyone the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
I am so grateful that Namo Amituofo has appeared in Australia, and I am also so grateful to Practitioner Su, this Buddha, for constantly finding ways to help people all over the world, especially Australians, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland.
Practitioner Su has always hoped to let more Australians receive the education of the Buddha’s teachings, because Practitioner Su has been in Australia for a long time and has a very good impression of Australians. He deeply feels that because Australians lack this education, they have not properly considered the destination of their own souls after death.
Practitioner Su sees so many Australians working tirelessly for their families their whole lives, only to end up old and sick, and then leave the world just like that. Their souls may become cows or ants on the earth, or enter space, etc., continuing to wander in the six realms of rebirth, not knowing when they will have the opportunity to be saved.
Practitioner Su cannot bear to see the simple and kind Australians suffer like this, so he has always hoped that more Australians can come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to listen to Namo Amituofo’s teachings and understand the truth about human life and the universe. I hope that after learning the Buddha’s teachings, Australians can attain the benefits of not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die, just like Practitioner Su.
Now, your father is on the Western Land of Dharma Nature, happily chanting "Namo Amituofo." I hope that you, as an Australian, should come here and take a good look. You can call first, or contact the temple in any way. Regardless, I am here waiting for you.
