The Infinite Life Sutra (The Buddha Speaks the , Infinite Life, Adornment, Purity, Impartiality, and Sutra) mentions offering precious and wonderful gifts.
Wonderful gifts refer to offering incense, flowers, banners, canopies, and even offerings to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Among all offerings, Dharma offerings are the most magnificent,
as they are the most supreme way to realise one's true nature and attain Buddhahood, and to teach, save, and benefit all beings.
The ten directions represent the immeasurable and boundless Bodhisattvas of the Dharma Realm,
who often come to Namo Amituofo’s Buddha land—the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—to listen to Amitabha’s lectures.
With a respectful heart, they offer various wonderful gifts and, upon hearing the holy name of "Namo Amituofo,"
attain peace and great benefit.
Admiring the magnificence and dignity of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, which is incomparable to other Buddha lands,
they generate the supreme mind, wishing to quickly attain Buddhahood. Amitabha, knowing this, feels ,
smiles, and blesses these Bodhisattvas with His light, enabling them to attain the stage of non-retrogression,
and prophesying their future Buddhahood, thus fulfilling the heart.
When beings of the Western Land go to the ten directions of the Dharma Realm to make offerings to the Buddhas, they also receive the joy of the Buddhas.
This is because the beings of the Western Land have already generated the supreme Bodhi mind and entered the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss,
receiving the of Amitabha’s merits and majestic power, ultimately realising their true nature and attaining Buddhahood.
This is the magnificent "Vow of Attaining Enlightenment" among Amitabha’s Forty-eight Great Vows, which saves the beings of the Western Land,
ensuring they will certainly attain Buddhahood while practising in the environment of Infinite Life and Infinite Light in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Thus, when beings of the Western Land go to the ten directions of the Dharma Realm to make offerings to the Buddhas,
the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas also praise them and bless them with their magnificent merits,
wishing them to attain Buddhahood soon.
At this time, Namo Amituofo is residing here at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre,
blessing the Bodhisattvas, the fourfold assembly, and those who are diligently seeking the path to attain Buddhahood soon,
and enabling those who come to prostrate and make offerings to chant the Buddha’s name, make vows, and have their wish to be reborn in the West fulfilled.
Only those who truly "see through" and "let go" can give of this body without regret,
using this temporary body to practise, follow the Buddha to save beings, and attain Buddhahood,
while teaching and saving beings, and helping them to leave suffering behind, be reborn in the West, and realise their true nature and attain Buddhahood.
This is an extraordinary event that is incredibly difficult to find.
