Lay Practitioner Wu Hongji:
I am now a resident of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! I am deeply grateful to and Practitioner Su for guiding us to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
When I first arrived here, I felt a deep sense of familiarity, as if I had been here not long ago, which took me by surprise. In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, everyone can see their own lives throughout many lifetimes very clearly. Thus, I quickly understood my past actions and identities, and realised I had been to this before. Although this shocked me, I felt a sense of profound stability; this Buddha-land is my true home, my original home.
I had stayed here for a time, then made a vow to go to the human world to save others. At first, I took action to save people, but in this dusty world, after being polluted for a long time and passing through many lifetimes, I created immeasurable and boundless , and I gradually forgot this Ultimate Vow to save others.
Later, I finally regained the opportunity to be human. Although I had this human body, this life was very short; I left the human world at the age of forty-two. Thinking back, it is truly lamentable.
I cannot be considered someone who experienced the complete cycle of "birth, aging, sickness, death," as I did not experience "aging," only the processes of "birth, sickness, and death." Even this alone caused me great suffering, as I left the human world suffering from a serious illness. After death, I went to the hells to endure punishment, which was truly painful.
I also know that this was because some of my thoughts went astray; I had a selfish heart and a poor personality, and such things were the reasons I fell into the hells.
Having experienced all of this, I now understand more deeply how precious it is to have a human body. In the world, one can achieve great things; not only can one perform many meaningful deeds, but one can also use this opportunity to properly study the . As long as we are active and persistent, we can reach a state like Practitioner Su, to realise one's true nature and attain Buddhahood.
Although this is not easy, as long as you have this vow in your heart, one day, whether for yourself or for others, there will certainly be this opportunity.
I am grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for so compassionately guiding us into this Buddha-land. I am also very grateful to my former wife; although much time has passed, seeing that you have come to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, I feel very comforted in my heart. Knowing that you are living a stable life and are able to know the Buddha—how precious this is! I hope you can use this opportunity to make your heart purer and more genuinely good, to follow the Buddha wholeheartedly, to do your current tasks well, and to live out the rest of this life with ease and according to conditions. When you return to this old home of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss in the future, your life will have no regrets.
In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I can see everything in the human world very clearly, and only then did I realise that the human world is impermanence and that nothing is eternal. Therefore, I cherish my current place all the more, and I hope more people will come to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia and gain elevation in their spirits.
I am grateful for the of Namo Amituofo, and I am grateful for the compassion of Practitioner Su.
