Rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss: Zhang Shiming (Grandfather of Zhang Yibing and Huang Li)

Lay Practitioner Zhang Shiming:

My name is Zhang Shiming, and I have truly become a resident of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! I am here to report to everyone and to let all my family members who know me know that I am safe. Although I have left the human world for a long time and everyone may have almost forgotten me, I think that is fine. Because the few decades of a human life pass just like that, and I no longer have any feelings, attachments, or nostalgia for past events.

Now, as a resident of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I am truly and honestly practising with Namo Amituofo. In this land of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I have made a vow to save many, many beings together with the Buddha. Although I know that I still owe many debts to beings that I have not yet repaid, this is something that pains me deeply.

After arriving in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, we can see everything that happened in the past. I also know all the debts I owe; those beings are still suffering, and I can see it all from here. However, I am currently unable to help them directly; I can only improve my own practice so that I will have the opportunity to return there to save them in the future. I hope the Buddha can give me some strength to shine light upon them, so they can feel the beauty of the Buddha-land.

Gratitude to Namo Amituofo, gratitude to Practitioner Su! Gratitude for such a magnificent Causal Conditions that led me to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. If you are curious about what kind of Causal Conditions this is, it is actually because our juniors were able to encounter such a good opportunity with the Buddha, which gave us elders the chance to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Therefore, I am very grateful to my grandchildren, Zhang Yibing and Huang Li. Thank you for signing me up for the Chao Du, which allowed me to leave suffering and gain happiness, and to arrive in this world of light.

This has also made me truly realise what Buddhist education teaches the world; this is something I had never heard of before, and it is very special. The paths for everyone to arrive in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss are different; some people arrived here by chanting the Buddha-name themselves; however, many people in the human world actually have to rely on this Practitioner Su in the human world to be able to be reborn.

This is Practitioner Su, who has realised his true nature and attained Buddhahood at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. He helps everyone be reborn in the Western Pure Land because his skills are very profound, and he can freely travel to and from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, which is why he has the opportunity to save us all.

Such a wonderful thing must be shared with everyone in the human world! Therefore, when I arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I kept thinking: when can I say a few words? I must urge everyone to get to know this place. Where the Buddha is, that is a true home; it is the home for everyone's spirits.

As for past events, I also want to tell my juniors that I have now let go of everything completely; I have no more attachments or worries. I only want to keep my heart settled on this Buddha-name and save many, many beings here together with the Buddha; this is my vow.

For those still in the human world, if you do not yet know about Buddhist education, you must give yourself the opportunity to encounter and learn it. The Buddhist education at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia is even more worthy of your in-depth understanding. Do not sink your true nature for the sake of chasing worldly desires, and do not break your vow to save beings; if you break this heart, it will be difficult to return to this path of practice.

My descendants are also fortunate to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, and I truly feel comforted, because there is nothing better than encountering the Buddha! Do not be like me, lost and without support in a lonely space. Over these years, I have also seen many joys and sorrows in the human world. I am very clear about all kinds of forms, and I know that this illusory world is not a place to stay for long!

Well, I have said everything I wanted to say. Now, looking back on all this with a very calm heart, it is as if nothing had ever happened; it feels as if I have always been a resident of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, without much disturbance.

Gratitude to the compassionate salvation of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, which allowed all of us beings to receive this great gift. Gratitude to everyone!
