Teachings by Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju:
Child, why do you practise now? As you move forward in your vow, is it going as you wished?
Practice is the vow to save beings; if you have not yet been saved, how can you save others?
Therefore, saving yourself is the primary task.
How do you save yourself? The first requirement is a sincere heart.
You are also one of the beings; the purpose of saving yourself is to save others.
Those who make this vow must first save themselves.
Looking ahead, Practitioner Su has already saved immeasurable and boundless beings, which means he has long since saved himself.
He has attained the state of an awakened being, can enter the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and can freely travel between the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre.
Those who save themselves must have the awareness that "I am one who is being saved," and also have the vow to "be one who can save beings."
In this practice, you must follow the Buddha or , ancestral masters, or a true spiritual friend so that you do not go astray.
If you practise blindly, you are not saving yourself but harming yourself and harming beings, preventing the immeasurable and boundless beings within you from being saved.
If you fall into the hells, the salvation of the beings within you will be a distant prospect.
At the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, where Namo Amituofo is residing, the practitioners not only follow Namo Amituofo, the Teacher, and Practitioner Su in their practice, but during the process of practice, because Practitioner Su understands that the interference of and demon crowds will hinder practice, he actively performs for the beings within the fourfold assembly.
Especially during spiritual healing, amidst the chanting of the six-character name, when the fourfold assembly looks up at the statue of Namo Amituofo and chants, in the unseen space, one can see:
The Buddha is at the front, leading the immeasurable and boundless beings emerging from the bodies of the fourfold assembly, allowing these beings to be saved, either entering the human or heavenly realms, the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, or the Western Land of Nature.
At the same time, the fourfold assembly must save themselves; changing personality traits is an important matter. Maintain the purification of body, mind, and spirit.
If you invite spirits daily in this way, you will naturally see results.
If, after inviting spirits, you continue to have every thought and intention filled with constant delusion, discrimination, and attachment, then karmic creditors will arise again, and attached spirits and demon crowds will re-enter your body. Such spiritual healing treats the symptoms but not the root cause.
Within of the karmic creditors, there are always immeasurable and boundless beings present.
If you are a wise person, make good use of the power of wisdom in chanting. When the power of wisdom in chanting takes effect, invite the karmic creditors within you to chant Namo Amituofo together with the fourfold assembly or the karmic creditors, accept the resolution of conflict and the invitation to Chao Du, enter the Western Land of Dharma Nature to listen to sutras and hear the Dharma, and make the vow to chant Namo Amituofo to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
This is the excellent method for the fourfold assembly, the karmic creditors, and the beings to save themselves.
