Teacher's Teachings. Chief writer: Venerable Fa Hui. 8 May 2026. Teachings by Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju: Matters of Benefit to the Masses. If one serves the masses with a heart of compassion and joy, seeking no return, and provides convenience to the masses, allowing the masses to feel joy, one is actually achieving the merit of dissolving one's own spiritual obstacles and planting vast fields of blessings. [[BLOCK_0]] But if one gives rise to anger and resentment during service, one burns down the forest of merit. The merit from serving the masses is not enough to offset the fire of this anger, and one creates the negative cause of angry karma, reaping the evil consequences and suffering the retribution. The retribution manifests as attracting karmic creditors, attached spirits, or demon crowds to enter the body, falling into a state of drowsiness or having it intensified. If anger and resentment arise before the end of life, how can one avoid the retribution of the hells! [[BLOCK_1]] Matters of Benefit to the Masses. Such as practice, or renouncing the home and desires, becoming a monk, offering this body, and being able to strive diligently for purification, changing personality traits, utilising the body as the ultimate 'high technology', rediscovering the true self, and using the power of the true self to save beings and resolve their suffering. [[BLOCK_2]] Such as implementing Buddhist education, teaching beings to recognise Namo Amituofo and the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and chanting the Buddha's name, making vows to seek rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, so as to end the cycle of birth and death and transcend the three realms, no longer suffering the pain of reincarnation. [[BLOCK_3]] Teaching beings to understand that all beings possess the true self and the importance of awakening to one's true nature. Understanding karmic conditions and the causes and effects, practising generosity, and staying away from all evil. Understanding the existence of karma and demon crowds, and how they disturb the human heart, daily routines, and behaviour, recognising that the Buddha can subdue demonic enemies and help people avoid interference from demon crowds. [[BLOCK_4]] Nowadays, Namo Amituofo abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, this is the most direct, convenient, and magnificent time for the masses to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. [[BLOCK_5]] Due to the compassionate blessings of Namo Amituofo, and through spiritual healing, resolving the karmic creditors, attached spirits, or demon crowds invited onto the body which cause problems such as ageing and illness. The Dharma assembly performs Chao Du for countless sentient beings and demon crowds. Using the Buddha’s words and the Teacher’s Teachings to unlock the mysteries of the body, as well as the Universal Principles, Truth, and the Right Path. Under the guidance of Practitioner Su, letting the body manifest the ability of the Dharma as the ultimate 'high technology'. Chanting one Buddha's name to the end is the direction for diligent practice.
