Li Chunping:
, Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo.
A person's life is so full of suffering, because of impermanence, because one cannot be the master. Delusive thoughts fly around, messy thoughts are constant; worries and plans for the future cannot stop; memories of the past, one wants to stop, but cannot. When will this restless heart ever find a place to return to?
Only by encountering this "Namo Amituofo", encountering the Great taught by Amitabha Buddha, is it possible for one's heart to truly find peace. Because all anxiety and restlessness come from countless within ; and only the pure and good energy of this Buddha-name can truly soothe the hearts of these karmic creditors, leading oneself and the countless karmic creditors within the body to make a huge transformation. That is turning from the secular to the transcendent, from the world to the world-beyond, from the sea of in the Saha world to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, allowing the karmic bonds between each other to transform into magnificent causal conditions for liberation. Buddha comes into the world to help all beings attain liberation and leave suffering behind.
At this moment, I, Li Chunping, am on the of the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, kneeling on a lotus seat, paying homage to the compassionate Amitabha Buddha and Practitioner Su. I am grateful that the Buddha saved me, allowing me to begin a brand-new life on the Dharma-Nature Land. At this moment, on the pure and bright Western Dharma-Nature Land, illuminated by the golden light of the Buddha, I am chanting this precious Namo Amituofo with great peace and gratitude.
I vow to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss in the future, attain Buddhahood, and then descend to the world to save all suffering beings. This is far more magnificent than the good intentions I had and the good deeds I performed while I was alive. Because the Buddha has always wanted beings to attain ultimate liberation and leave this defiled world, not to let beings live better lives in this world. I hope to help the souls of beings to truly leave suffering from a long-term perspective, rather than letting beings get lost in the fleeting pleasures of this body.
I am Li Chunping, the former richest man in Beijing. Everyone should be very familiar with my legendary life and story; after all, my story has been written into novels, made into films, and even adapted into a television series, starring the currently very popular A-list star Deng Chao. This can be considered a special karmic connection between him and me.
After reading my story, everyone should be able to truly feel the impermanence of life. After all, this life is seen by many as so legendary. When I was young, I actually had a good family background and a promising future. As a descendant of an old Red Army veteran, I should have had a bright future. Who would have known that I would ruin my future because of a woman? Everyone actually knows what happened later, right?
Some people think I am a philanthropist, but I cannot bear this reputation. Because I know in my heart that the vast wealth was given to me by someone else in a moment. It is only natural that I should distribute this money to those in need; this is a very natural thing. After all, everything is like this: it comes fast, and it naturally goes fast. Moreover, I had a vague feeling in my heart that if I held onto this wealth tightly and did not do some good deeds, the outcome would probably not be very good.
However, it seems now that this premonition was not wrong. At the end of my life, I developed Alzheimer's disease, and later slowly became demented and lost my cognitive abilities. Due to various factors, my assets were divided and transferred by people with ulterior motives and those around me who were supposed to be caring for me.
Actually, I do not feel too much regret about this; after all, once a person has lost their cognitive abilities, what is the meaning of this wealth? However, I do feel a bit indebted to my son. After all, I had already decided to let my son inherit everything, but now it seems that it might be very difficult for him to get these assets; it seems a bit difficult.
After leaving the human world, I entered the Eye-Gouging Hell. In this hell, my eyes were constantly subjected to extreme torture. In this place, I seemed to be trapped by something; no matter how many times I died inside, I just could not escape from the space of this Eye-Gouging Hell.
This might be the result destined for me, and I can only bear it silently. But this point is not too difficult for me. Everyone actually knows that throughout my life, I have always said that what I lacked most was "independent judgment". I have always been very accustomed to going with the flow. So, when enduring the torture, although it was very painful, I just let myself endure all of it.
Listening to sutras and hearing the Dharma on the Dharma-Nature Land, I realised that violating the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way leads one to hell. The torture in hell taught me one thing: in this life, one really cannot have any hesitation; if one determines that something is right, one should do it with all one's might, and one must never do what is wrong.
Indeed, I had a vague premonition in my heart, knowing that Generosity (Giving) was a path I should take, but I did not expect that this Generosity (Giving) was not thorough enough. It was just such a sliver of thought, a little bit of self-protection for my own interests, that laid the groundwork for me to suffer from Alzheimer's disease (dementia) in my later years.
It turns out that all these illnesses are caused by the grievances of the karmic creditors within the body. Compared to the integrity of one's soul, what is vast wealth? If one cannot completely let go of one's selfishness, cannot use more sincere and vigorous Generosity (Giving), and cannot use a compassionate heart to prove one's sincere repentance to the karmic creditors, how can one let the karmic creditors let oneself go?
This is the truth I saw when I reviewed my life on the Dharma-Nature Land. I only then realised that resolving conflicts with karmic creditors is such an important matter in a person's life.
In this life, I really failed because of emotions, or one could say I died because of a woman. If it were not for my attachment to emotions, how would I have committed various irrational acts? My originally promising future was ruined just like that. Even if, by a stroke of fate, I obtained vast wealth because of a chance encounter with a stranger, what I actually sacrificed was my precious youth, as well as the simplicity and kindness in my heart.
In fact, no matter how long a person lives, it is at most two hundred years. The real thing to do is to seize this precious and short human body to help beings leave suffering and gain happiness.
Just like Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, after realising one's true nature and attaining Buddhahood in the human world, one can help immeasurable and boundless suffering spirits to escape, and can also save souls like me who entered hell after death from hell.
Here, I would like to appeal to the world that emotions are truly a poison that one should never touch in a lifetime. Because everything in the world is actually formed by the combination of multiple and is changing at every moment. Nothing is real, and attachment to everything that is false will only make one suffer.
While holding on tightly, one is actually covering one's inherent Wisdom with a thick layer of dust, making this heart, which was originally full of awareness, become dull and stupid, no longer as sensitive, and no longer as thorough. The instinct that was originally able to clearly foresee and hear has gradually turned into various secular thoughts and discriminations, bringing about the grievances of countless karmic creditors within the body.
Resolving conflicts with karmic creditors only requires a vow of renunciation, and nothing from the world. As long as one is tainted by any person, matter, or object in the world, it is actually leading oneself to the end of aging, sickness, and death. Wanting to not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die is not impossible. The Buddha came into the world to teach everyone that one must completely empty this heart. If there is still someone you love, something you cannot let go of, or an object you like in your heart, that has already made your spirit too far from its original appearance. That represents that the soul has become incomplete due to the attacks of karmic creditors, or has been kicked out of the body.
How many people expect to be satisfied in a relationship, but are always unable to get their wish. They are always busy using all methods, hoping to maintain a relationship, or to perfect this relationship, and to reconcile all the discordant voices within it. In fact, they have already forgotten the Wisdom they should have originally possessed.
In fact, everyone is a Buddha. If one can truly understand that everything is originally complete and sufficient in the "true self", why seek it externally? When one is infatuated with the various in the interaction between each other, falls in love with every fluctuation of thoughts when talking to each other, and hopes to get more from it to soothe one's restless heart, one has actually already missed the point.
Because the heart that people cannot master is never real. When one seeks externally, one has long since turned one's true heart into a false and changeable "delusive mind". The ever-changing delusive mind is never real for a moment, never stays, so how can it be satisfied by any method?
I once hoped that there would be someone who could truly understand all my feelings or all the thoughts in my heart, but I forgot that "myself" is never a real existence, but just a collection of many feelings under the influence and interference of countless karmic creditors in the body, changing at every moment, and never the real self.
Do you really understand yourself? Or, do you really know what you need and what you want to get? When looking at problems from this perspective, you might find that at some point, you have become someone you no longer recognise. Such a strange appearance actually means that you have never been able to truly be the master. It turns out that all the fluctuating feelings and emotional thoughts in the heart are interfered with by karmic creditors. It turns out that the solution to all problems and all feelings is never external, but internal. It is not about satisfying your various feelings and needs from an external perspective, but about truly resolving conflicts with the karmic creditors within your body from an internal level.
I, Li Chunping, on the Dharma-Nature Land, clearly see at this moment that there are so many people in the world who are suffering because of emotions, yet they are still addicted to the taste of emotions. This is because they have not yet made up their minds to take on the responsibilities they should bear, and have not yet truly been willing to be a Buddha who saves beings in the world. Therefore, they are always unable to suppress the desire to taste the various flavours of emotions.
Reviewing my life on the Western Dharma-Nature Land, at first I was quite confused and did not quite understand how to view the experiences of my life. However, under the constant illumination of the Buddha-light, I feel that I am becoming more awakened with every passing moment.
After seeing the practice process demonstrated by Practitioner Su, I realised that after Practitioner Su learned the Great Dharma of Amitabha Buddha, he truly let go of everything he possessed (including wealth, career, and family) and finally realised his true nature and attaining Buddhahood. Seeing such a demonstration, I finally understood that the key to whether a person's life can be smooth or not lies in one's own heart.
When a rare thought of Goodness arises in the heart, or a simplicity that has not appeared for a long time, can you truly use all your strength to protect it and perfect it? If you can do it, and at this moment show true boldness, leave yourself no retreat, spare no effort to give, and perfect this precious thought of Goodness and good deed that you have identified, that will give your life a chance to be saved.
This is also what I learned from listening to sutras and hearing the Dharma on the Dharma-Nature Land: it turns out that a single thought of sincere Goodness, a single thought of turning back, is true repentance. It turns out that in the present moment, being willing to truly be a Buddha, being willing to believe that you are a Buddha, can be in sync with Amitabha Buddha. This is the Causal Condition for everyone in the world to be able to come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. The attraction between each other is never a complex principle, nor does it require much action and effort; it only depends on whether your heart can be in sync with the Buddha-heart. If you can be in sync, the Buddha will open the door for everyone, giving everyone a chance to come to this only Pure Land in the human world.
At this moment, Amitabha Buddha has come into the world to bring the magnificent benefit of "not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die" to the world. Everyone can obtain such benefits, but first, one must believe in Amitabha Buddha, and also believe in the unborn and undying Buddha-nature in one's own heart. When you occasionally think of a good deed to help others, are you willing to do your best to do it? Are you willing to truly execute it without any obstacles, without any considerations, and without counting the cost?
Indeed, in this complex and defiled world, how can one really help people? Or when you see the suffering of others, how can you truly help them leave suffering behind? This is a question that many people have thought about in their hearts.
Namo Amituofo came to this world to establish the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, providing people with a precious opportunity to cultivate their goodness and a heart of true repentance. Once you understand the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, do you realise the various benefits the temple brings to the human world and the spiritual realms?
If you can give without counting the cost, naturally dedicating your all to it, you are essentially fulfilling the goodness and the heart of repentance within your own heart. The opportunity of Namo Amituofo coming to this world is so precious; whether from the perspective of education or the conduct of the Buddha's Dharma work, it is all to give all sentient beings the opportunity to truly and authentically repent.
Whether in action, in vows, or by putting in the work within your own heart, there is an opportunity for everyone to resolve conflicts with the countless karmic creditors and sentient beings within their own bodies. At this moment, I, Li Chunping, also call upon all the people of China, especially those who hold vast wealth, to quickly invest in the Buddha's Dharma work of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. The Buddha's Dharma work can benefit countless people, which in fact also benefits oneself.
The wealth of my life, in fact, flowed into the hands of many people during the time I suffered from dementia. Regardless, I would like to speak to these people here, hoping that everyone can participate in the temple's "Namo Amituofo Billboard Project". The Namo Amituofo billboard is like a small manifestation of Namo Amituofo, capable of emitting immense golden light. Immeasurable and boundless sentient beings, while being illuminated by the golden light, will have the opportunity to obtain deliverance.
This point is very important for China, because there are countless spirits surrounding our daily lives throughout China. If a large number of Namo Amituofo billboards can be established, it will be of great help to the people of China, reducing the burden on everyone's Body-Mind-Spirit. After all, the interference from the spiritual realms has such a huge impact on people. If so many sentient beings can obtain deliverance because of the billboards, it is actually indirectly helping the people living on this land of China.
Whether it is your company or your home, these can actually be places to set up Namo Amituofo billboards. Of course, the more billboards, the better; they can be set up in any location you feel is appropriate, but never forget the "heart of reverence", which is the most basic respect for the Buddha.
I know that you might feel quite surprised when you hear me say these words now. After all, from a secular perspective, the karmic relationship between you and me should be considered quite complex. But in the Dharma-Nature Land, I understand that everything in the world proceeds according to the laws of karma and cause and effect. Since I am treated this way by you in this life, it is the cause I created in my past lives, and the fruit I receive in this life. I do not have any complaints; on the contrary, I am very grateful to everyone for allowing me to experience the suffering of a human body in this way.
Regardless, there is at least a karmic connection between us. If you can see these messages, I hope you can also use the wealth in your hands for the work of saving the world. This is also a form of redemption for yourself; after all, if you do not follow the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, it is very easy to enter the hells. If you can support the Buddha's Dharma work of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, why is that not a turning point?
Well, having said so much, finally I want to tell everyone that in the future I will be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and I hope that everyone will also be able to meet me in the West.
Gratitude to Namo Amituofo, gratitude to Practitioner Su.
