Interview with Ou Zhengming (Founder and Former Chairman of Everlight Electronics, Taiwan) at the Western Land of Dharma Nature

My name is Ou Zhengming. Today happens to be over a week since I arrived at the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and it is finally my turn to be interviewed.

For a long time, I had been hearing about the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and how one after another, those of us who have been reborn in the Western Land of Dharma Nature were receiving the opportunity to be interviewed. I was waiting in line, and I did not expect my turn to come so quickly.

"Western Land of Dharma Nature" is something I had never heard of, but in the week or so that I have been here, I have truly opened my heart. I have accepted the Buddha’s teachings, the Buddha-land, and everything related to the Pure Land with great joy.

I later realised that coming to this place was not a coincidence. It turns out that at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, there is a person named Practitioner Su. He has attained Awakening and Buddhahood on Earth while in a human body. Because Practitioner Su made a vow to save all influential people, business tycoons, and talented individuals around the world, he hopes to use the strength of this group to help the world recognise the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and to gather everyone’s support to build the Centre.

Here, many people are welcomed to study the Buddha’s teachings. We can also nurture the next generation of children, providing them with food and shelter so they can practise diligently in peace. The most important point is to be able to inherit Practitioner Su’s skills.

When I first learned about this, I did not understand how profound Practitioner Su’s skills were. I later realised that the many things that Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have done in the human world are beyond what ordinary people can imagine. I was shocked at the time: it turns out that a Buddha can guide us deceased spirits on Earth to the Buddha-land. This amazed me greatly.

I am one of those who have been saved, so I can confidently tell everyone that all of this is real. The Buddha came to this world to save beings. Whether they are people suffering in the world, beings in the spiritual realms, the ten directions, or even the Demon Realm, all are on the Buddha’s list for salvation. There are many terms and events I had never heard of before. Now that I have carefully understood them one by one, I am giving a complete report to everyone. Especially my family in the human world; they might feel very strange about everything I am saying. My son might think: "What has happened to my father? Why is he talking to me about the Buddha’s principles now? He is like a completely different person compared to before!"

You are right, son. In fact, I am speaking to you now as a being from the spiritual realm. After a period of purification, my spirit has been elevated quite a bit, and I am truly different from the former Chairman Ou Zhengming. However, the essence of the spirit has not changed; the spirit from before is the same spirit I am now, only without the body, which has saved me a lot of trouble and allowed for this elevation.

But I must also be honest with you: it was not easy for me to go directly to this beautiful Western Land of Dharma Nature—this Buddha-land—after my life ended. When I died, I did not have Namo Amituofo in my heart, so according to my own karma and the sins I had created, I fell directly into the hells, to a place called the Eye-Gouging Hell. It was extremely painful; for over a year, it was nothing but intense suffering.

I know you are very busy in the human world and that you have inherited my business. You are working hard on many things, and based on your abilities, I believe you will do very well. But you probably cannot imagine that your old father was suffering in hell while you were working so hard.

However, I am not here to tell you how painful hell is, because I think everyone can imagine that suffering. Eye-gouging, as the name suggests, is having one’s eyes gouged out; there is no need to go into detail about such suffering. But what I want to tell you is why I ended up in the Eye-Gouging Hell. To be honest, I did not know what the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way were before, nor did I know that violating this Truth could lead to hell. Now I truly understand that every person in the human world is so fragile, and the negative karma created by this human body must be repaid by oneself.

Part of the reason I went to the Eye-Gouging Hell was because of the work I did during my lifetime, which was primarily in electronics. In other words, everything I managed as the founder of Everlight Electronics is now considered a high-tech industry, which promoted the development of Taiwan’s electronics industry. But whether this electronics industry is good or bad, and whether there is a possibility of creating negative karma, people do not know. The electronics industry can actually be good or bad. If people become addicted to various electronic products and waste their lives, that brings about negative influences.

So, my time in the Eye-Gouging Hell was a way for me to repay my debts. Furthermore, I had times during my life when I looked down on others or had bad thoughts; these are negative, not good things, and they actually accumulated within me. There are immeasurable and boundless beings to whom I owed debts, and they came to collect. You might not understand this concept, but there are indeed many beings from the spiritual realm within our bodies called karmic creditors; they are people we have harmed in the past, and they do not have bodies in the spiritual world. This is a principle that can be explained by the Buddha’s teachings; it is an extremely natural law of karma and cause and effect. It is just that people in the human world cannot witness it with their own eyes, so they cannot truly believe everything I am saying now.

So, sigh, son, I tell you, if you who manage the electronics industry could let go sooner, or use your wisdom to guide this business onto the Right Way so that it does not interfere with people’s hearts, that would be the best thing!

Everyone knows the founder of Apple in the United States, Steve Jobs, right? This tech giant also suffered in hell for a long time before being guided by Practitioner Su to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. If this could be spread for everyone to know, it would certainly cause a sensation. Steve Jobs also had a strong personality and knew a lot from a young age, which gave rise to an arrogant air, so there were many demon crowds controlling him to invent the Apple phone. Oh my, I did not expect the truth to be like this; I was also shocked. But looking back now, everything I heard when Practitioner Su was giving lectures was indeed true.

Now, in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I can practise in peace and walk a different path. Because Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su are truly compassionate, they lead beings to the Western Land of Dharma Nature in the hope that everyone can focus on their practice. By chanting the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" all the way, one can be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and not continue to suffer in the six realms of rebirth. Whether one is in the heavens, as a human, or suffering in hell, all of this is part of reincarnation; whether it is joy or pleasure, there will eventually be a day when it ends.

In conducting oneself and handling affairs, one must follow the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, without bias, without a selfish heart, and by thinking of others. Only then can you go through life smoothly. Especially those of us in the electronics industry, we must be careful and think twice about the path of our lives, so that we do not end up with a successful business but a body in a mess, and a soul that has to go to hell to suffer retribution after death. That is truly too painful.

After having gone through this, I say these words to you sincerely, hoping that you can believe everything I have said. While in the human world, what we see before our eyes may seem beautiful, but we often do not know how huge its impact on humanity will be in the future.

I am very grateful and joyful to be able to come to the Western Land of Dharma Nature to learn the true Buddhist education. I never thought my spirit could be so heavy, yet still have a chance for rebirth and elevation. These things are truly extraordinary.

When I was in the human world, I never thought the world after death would be so full of ups and downs, or that there would be such different experiences. I never expected that I would be able to communicate with my son from the spiritual realm here in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and explain the path after leaving the human world so clearly. I think many psychics in the world would not be able to explain it as clearly as I have, because the place where I am is the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia.

Namo Amituofo is right here, constantly radiating Buddha-light, teaching all of us in the human world and the spiritual realms. The Buddha-light is so clear and bright that it has purified all our hearts. Therefore, we no longer have that worldly mindset from before when explaining the truth of all these facts to everyone. We now truly have a very open heart when reporting to you.

I say "we" because there are many people here like me, from Taiwan and all over the world, who were prominent figures in society, as well as many political figures and so on. Because of the Ultimate Vow made by Practitioner Su, they all want to use our strength to lead more beings to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, or to invest in the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, investing in the next generation of children, helping to cultivate them so that Practitioner Su’s skills can be inherited.

As a prominent figure in Taiwan’s electronics industry, I only had the opportunity today to be guided by Practitioner Su to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. This is why I can talk to my son here. Haha, you wouldn't have imagined that, would you?

Furthermore, I also hope my family can get to know the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. You surely have never seen such a temple in the human world, because in the whole world, this is the only temple that truly has a Buddha here, who can provide guidance and teachings to everyone at any time. Besides Practitioner Su, there are also some Venerables here who can communicate with Namo Amituofo, write down the Buddha’s words, and let the world see them.

There is probably no other Buddhist temple in the world that can do this. If you want to learn the Buddha’s teachings, then learn from the real Buddha, learn from the great Buddha Namo Amituofo, and you can also consult Practitioner Su in the human world at the same time.

If you are willing to come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, especially my son, I would be very happy to welcome you here and wait for your arrival. This is the place where your father is now. One day, if I practise diligently here, keep chanting the Buddha’s name, and chant Namo Amituofo, the Buddha will guide me to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. By then, I will still be able to talk to you, but please, you must come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to understand everything that is being managed here.

I hope you can understand the truth that life is short. The scale and status of everything managed before your eyes will truly be nothing the moment you stop breathing. The spirit and this body are inherently different; when this body dies, it is dead, but this spirit is unborn and undying.
