Shao Genhuo:
Life is truly bitter; this is my greatest realisation after I, Shao Genhuo, arrived at the Western Land of Nature. As the founder of the Dabeinong Group, I started from scratch in this life, always hoping to develop a domestic Chinese agricultural enterprise that could compete with large foreign companies and create China's own products. I have always hoped to bring Dabeinong to the top global ranks, and even make it the world's number one agricultural enterprise. "Strengthening agriculture to serve the country" has always been my wish.
Carrying this wish, I worked very hard, never expecting to suddenly leave this world in the process. Human life is truly fragile and impermanent; when the breath stops, one cannot take anything away, and one never knows when the end of life will come.
After death, my soul entered the brain-gouging hell, where I suffered endless torture. My brain was constantly gouged open, repeating this punishment; I do not know how many times I died and lived again in there. How many times did I ask myself, "What did I do wrong to deserve such punishment?" It was inevitable that I felt a bit of resentment in my heart. Later, I realised that this bit of resentment while undergoing punishment caused me great harm.
Regardless, I was very fortunate to have been saved by and Practitioner Su, who brought my spirit to the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. At this moment, I am at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, sending these messages to everyone. This is truly me, Shao Genhuo, speaking to you. At this moment, I am in a state of soul and no longer have a body; however, the death of the physical body is not the end, for the spirit never dies. This is also what the Buddhist education at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre hopes to tell you.
In the Dharma-Nature Land, I am able to see everything happening in the world from a special perspective, which has made me realise that life is truly bitter. The bitterness lies in "not being able to be the master," in not understanding the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, and in not knowing how to live a life of ease while entangled in .
What is impermanence? It actually expresses the ever-changing nature of karma, and it also represents how much debt we have owed in the past and how many people we have wronged.
A person spends their life holding onto ambitions and desires, hoping to achieve something and satisfy the ideals in their heart. As for me, Shao Genhuo, I have a deep love for the land and the farmers. As China's first PhD in pig farming, I was very keen, even obsessed, with developing China's true agricultural strength. I truly hoped to strengthen the national economy by developing domestic agricultural enterprises. This was one of my original intentions in founding the Dabeinong Group.
After I achieved success and earned a great deal of wealth, I spared no effort in Generosity (Giving) to various prestigious agricultural universities and agricultural charities, investing hundreds of millions of yuan. It can be said that I was very generous in this regard. Dabeinong is an enterprise with a strong sense of cohesion, and I have always tried my best to take care of my employees. Having said this, I simply want to express that I, Shao Genhuo, am a person who knows how to listen to the voices and needs of others. I have always felt a sense of responsibility towards the country, society, and the people.
However, after coming into contact with the Buddha’s teachings, I finally understood that while I had considered the needs of the country, society, and the people, I had never considered the needs of the countless within my own body. Although my karmic creditors and I share a relationship of repaying kindness and grievances, and seeking or settling debts, we have long been inseparable and are one entity. When I first arrived in this world as an infant, countless karmic creditors were already sleeping within the space of my cells. As I grew older day by day, even the slightest deviation in my thoughts could awaken these karmic creditors. What followed was the natural consequence of seeking revenge; after all, it is only right and proper to pay back debts. Since I created the cause, I must bear the corresponding effect. This is the principle of the Law of Cause and Effect; it does not deceive anyone by even a fraction, and there is no unfairness whatsoever. My sudden death while working in the office was, in fact, one of the consequences I deserved.
Understanding the voices of the karmic creditors who are one with me inside my body is so important. The pain I encountered, the suffering I endured, and even the various of helplessness, grievances, and inner conflict I felt were actually the voices of the karmic creditors within me. If one can understand this, one should arouse and help the karmic creditors to leave suffering and gain happiness.
This truly requires the Buddha’s teachings to know how to proceed. The method is very simple: keep your heart in a state of purity and goodness, recite the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo," and you will be able to emit an extremely pure and good energy. This will soothe the karmic creditors within your body, making them less painful and helping their hearts to become stable.
Many people have had the experience of making irrational choices in their lives. Even when you know it is wrong and will cause you suffering and troublesome consequences, you still commit the same mistake over and over again. In fact, this is all due to the influence of the karmic creditors within your body. In this process, the suffering you endure is actually the suffering of your karmic creditors. If you can truly understand the hearts of your karmic creditors, you should summon great strength. After learning the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, you should adjust your personality to zero, use a pure and good heart and conduct different from the past, and under the blessing of Namo Amituofo, help your karmic creditors to leave suffering and gain happiness. This is a responsibility that everyone should have.
This life has had its joys and sorrows, its ups and downs, and all kinds of experiences. It turns out that everything is an illusion, operating within the and the causes and effects. Whether it is a profound memory or a mundane daily triviality, everything is within the Law of Cause and Effect, and it does not deceive anyone by even a fraction.
From this perspective, it is very important to do good deeds and not do bad deeds. Since everything operates within the Law of Cause and Effect, rather than creating negative causes, it is better to create more good causes. In the teachings of our ancestors, they have always promoted good Dharma and hoped that everyone would not commit evil.
However, the Buddha’s teachings are even more ultimate and perfect. The Buddha’s teachings do not just ask everyone to do good; they teach everyone not to remain in the six realms of rebirth. The Buddha’s teachings do not just benefit others from the perspective of the world; they help beings transcend from a transcendental perspective. Its core lies in helping beings achieve liberation, not just in helping them live a perfect life in the human world.
Perhaps many people think that the various problems of this life are enough to keep them busy, so how could they care about transcendence? But in the Dharma-Nature Land, I realised that a person's life is only illusory and short-lived; this body is borrowed, while the spirit never dies.
After death, the soul wanders in the six realms of rebirth and can go to many places. But no matter where one goes, it is only a temporary transit, not a permanent stay; this is the suffering of the six realms of rebirth. The spiritual life wanders everywhere, unable to have a truly stable home.
Namo Amituofo saw the suffering of beings and compassionately established the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, allowing everyone to have an eternal spiritual home. As long as one is reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, one does not need to suffer in the cycle of rebirth again. Namo Amituofo compassionately teaches everyone to seek rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and also tells everyone that they should encourage others to recite the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo," using a transcendental way and perspective to help beings transcend. This point is very important.
We also have what is called Buddhism in China, but in the process of its development in the past, deviations occurred, and it lost the original appearance that the Buddha’s teachings should have had. Humanistic Buddhism in the past environment could not bring true liberation to the people; only the true Great Dharma can help everyone liberate themselves from the suffering of body, mind, and spirit, and further reach the state where one does not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die. This is the true benefit of the Buddha’s teachings, and everyone has the opportunity to obtain it. As long as you come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to receive Buddhist education, everyone has the opportunity to be like Practitioner Su, attain Buddhahood, and gain the benefits of not growing old, not getting sick, and the spirit never dying.
In the Dharma-Nature Land, I learned that everything in the world has a soul within it, and animals are actually one of the destinations for human souls after death. As China's first PhD in pig farming, I am naturally very familiar with pigs. Unexpectedly, pigs are also the reincarnation of human souls. In the past, they also had human bodies, just like us; but after death, due to a deviation in a single thought, they entered the bodies of pigs. This is truly a very sad thing.
Not only that, but in the Dharma-Nature Land, I also saw that all things on earth, flowers, trees, and even every item and document used in corporate offices, and even the banknotes we use, have souls within them. These souls all once had human bodies in the past. This is the truth of the world.
This truth is: not only can humans not be the master and live a life of impermanence, but spiritual life also cannot be the master. The theme song of the six realms of rebirth is "impermanence." Impermanence represents change and instability, which really makes people feel very painful. Even if one is reborn into the heavenly realms after death and becomes a celestial being, one must still face the test of impermanence. After the long life in the heavenly realms ends, where the soul goes depends on which karma manifests first.
And after humans die, do they become all things or enter the hells? This is also a manifestation of impermanence. Where a person goes after death is determined by the last thought before death; the truth of reincarnation lies in the variability of thoughts. It turns out that impermanence comes from ever-changing thoughts. For me, Shao Genhuo, this was a very surprising discovery.
It turns out that all impermanence is derived from one's own ever-changing thoughts. People always suffer because of the impermanence of life, but they do not know that all suffering stems from the fact that their own heart is so changeable, so fluctuating, and full of thoughts that are difficult to control and thinking that cannot be regulated. When encountering people, things, or situations, a naturally arising thought or a habitual discrimination is the truth of impermanence.
It turns out that there is nothing real in a person's life; only the current thought is real. Furthermore, the difference between the previous thought, the current thought, and the next thought causes changes in the trajectory of life.
Namo Amituofo is very compassionate and teaches everyone to see through the vanity and impermanence of life. The Buddha tells everyone a concrete, simple, and feasible method, which is to keep one's thoughts firmly on the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo," and turn all one's thoughts into this Buddha-name.
When you succeed, you are already a true holy being of the West. Because the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is actually equivalent to this Holy Name "Namo Amituofo." If you can make every thought "Namo Amituofo"—and this refers to not just thinking of Namo Amituofo for the next five minutes, but also for the next five minutes, and even for this life, the next life, the life after that, and even for immeasurable eons in the future, if your heart always has only this Buddha-name—if you can do this in your heart, you can actually be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. It sounds difficult, but it is not that difficult.
Namo Amituofo has now come to the world, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, with the flesh-body Buddha who has already realised his true nature and attained Buddhahood in the human world—Practitioner Su. They are about to stage a perfect cooperation between the spiritual realms and the human world to help save immeasurable and boundless suffering souls and humans. The most fundamental point is to teach everyone the truth of life and the universe, and to help everyone understand what the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way are.
The path to rebirth in the Western Land can be simple, or it can be very complex. But with the help of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, they can lead everyone to move forward steadily and clearly, without accidentally taking the wrong path. This is the benefit of having a good teacher.
The Buddha’s teachings can help everyone be the master and help everyone truly start practising from their thoughts. The fundamental point is that after receiving education, everyone should arouse a true heart of transcendence and compassion.
If the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre had not opened up the suffering of the human world for everyone, you would not be able to truly understand it; and if you had not read the spiritual interview manuscripts of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, you would not know that spiritual life also has so much impermanence and suffering.
I hope everyone can take the time to carefully review the materials on the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre website, or any related written documents. I hope that after reading these spiritual interviews, you will be able to understand and develop a true heart of renunciation. Only with a heart of renunciation can you develop true compassion to help all sentient beings. That is the great vow that everyone originally possesses, a Buddha-vow hidden deep within the soul. Why do people suffer? It is because they do not understand that they are originally a Buddha who has come to this world to help sentient beings. Practitioner Su compassionately tells everyone to often remember, "I am a Buddha, I am a Buddha who has come to this world to help sentient beings"; this is the unique method to leave suffering behind. Because all suffering stems from ignorance and doubt, after a wrong thought arises, we slowly forget our original Tathagata virtues, forgetting that we are originally a Buddha who has come to the human world to save sentient beings. Because we cannot truly recognise ourselves and lack true self-awareness, we produce various wrong behaviours and doubts under the influence of this incorrect self-perception, which is why one's life is lived in such pain. We are all originally a Buddha. As long as we often remember, "I am a Buddha, I am a Buddha who has come to this world to help sentient beings," always reminding ourselves of our true form, and never forgetting this "Namo Amituofo," we can attain true peace in our hearts. It turns out that the reason the Buddha is so great and possesses the inconceivable power and supernatural abilities to save sentient beings is that the Buddha has no thoughts. Practitioner Su has truly achieved no-thought and no-mind, using this Namo Amituofo to perform across the world with countless manifestations. Countless spirits and demon crowds throughout China have been saved through Practitioner Su's Chao Du. The can accommodate immeasurable and boundless spirits because it represents Practitioner Su's boundless mind-capacity. Seeing Practitioner Su's teachings to the fourfold assembly at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, I clearly understood: the suffering of life lies in not being able to be the master. Once a person has thoughts, they cannot maintain the balance of Body-Mind-Spirit. Every thought actually represents the
