Li Songfang:
Gratitude to and Practitioner Su.
I have finally been reborn and have truly stepped onto the land of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. In truth, after stepping onto this land, I do not wish to look back at the past, for I now clearly understand that everything in the past has passed; apart from suffering, nothing remained.
But I understand that everything I experienced was to help me see the truth of this world.
People always say that "every family has its own difficult scriptures to read," and for me, life always had hurdles that seemed impossible to overcome. Although I had such a life, I was not surprised. I also know that there are many who are the same as me, or even in more pain. The reason my life was this way is the natural outcome of the laws of and cause and effect.
After arriving here, I gradually understood all of this; there is really nothing worth complaining about. In past lives, I harmed others, so naturally, I had to repay this in this lifetime. Most people are the same as me; although everyone's encounters are different, in essence, we are all people suffering in this world. Without learning the Buddha’s teachings, one does not know how to escape the suffering of this world.
Fortunately, I had family members who knew the Buddha’s teachings and still remembered me, and were willing to save me from that space. At the time, I did not understand anything. I originally thought that death would bring everything to a conclusion, but now I understand that the spirit itself does not reach a true conclusion just because dies. This endless cycle of being reincarnated and the world of spirits is the full picture of life.
Now that I have experienced all this, speaking of it, the clouds are light and the wind is gentle, but only those who have truly experienced it know that the suffering involved is not as simple as most people imagine. When one's swarm in, beginning to instill all sorts of thoughts and extreme ideas, one is often unable to control oneself, only drilling into dead ends and narrow corners, not knowing how to attain liberation, nor how to let go.
After passing away, I repeated an extremely painful process in that space, yet I did not know how to escape, and this is the most sorrowful thing. Repeated emotions, repeated —the same painful experiences kept happening over and over. I truly advise everyone not to make the same choices I did.
I actually never wanted anyone to be hurt, nor did I want anyone to have negative emotions, but I did not know that this was the very reason I could not walk out of that state. Because everything in life is not entirely under one's own control, and it is not the case that one can have whatever one wants. True ease does not come from doing as one pleases, but from thoroughly seeing through all of this and letting it go.
Having weathered many storms in this life, with its joys and sorrows, this life was actually a mixture of suffering and happiness, but overall, it was still suffering.
Because when happiness disappears, one naturally feels pain; and amidst the pain, one constantly seeks things that can make one happy, and when one cannot obtain them, the pain is even greater.
But in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, there are no such problems. Although I have only just arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I am already very certain that this is truly a world where one's wishes are fulfilled. Even before one has thought things through completely, everything one desires appears before one's eyes; it is truly faster than one's own thoughts. This is the magnificent aspect of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is a world of difference from the place where I originally stayed. Therefore, I also want to sincerely and solemnly tell Qiaojing, and all the family members who have known and spent time with me: life is truly short.
As for when one will encounter the great storms of life, we cannot predict. And whether one can pass each hurdle in the present moment, or walk out of various pains, what is needed is not to numb oneself with worldly things, or to force oneself to get through; what is needed is to let go of oneself and think for others. Only then can one attain true liberation and ease. This is the best way to escape the suffering of this world. Therefore, learning the Buddha’s teachings is the only antidote in life, and also the only hope in life.
Everything I experienced has allowed me to understand these principles. If it were not for my daughter-in-law signing me up for the Assembly, giving me the opportunity to come out, I would still not be able to escape that space to this day.
Gratitude to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and to all those who have Goodness with me, and to all beings, for leading me to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
