Huang Yunfang:
All of this feels so unreal to me, yet it is so clearly presented before my eyes. This truly is the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Although a few hours have passed on Earth, here it feels like a single instant. I am very happy; this place is even cleaner, brighter, and more beautiful than I had imagined.
In truth, life in the human world is just like this, filled with joys and sorrows, meetings and partings. Perhaps the time we spent together was not long, but I am still very grateful that you remembered me and were willing to register me for ; this is something that brings me comfort. If not for your filial piety, I would still be mired in suffering today.
Having lived a lifetime as a human, if not for the great , no one today would know how to transcend after death.
Seeing my grandchildren have the opportunity to know Namo Amituofo, to know the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, and to have the chance to learn the Buddha’s teachings, I feel very comforted. Although the Buddha’s teachings are vast and require deeper exploration, this is the correct direction. I hope the whole family can persist in moving forward on the path of the Buddha’s teachings. Seeing everything that Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have established here in the -Nature Land, it is truly arduous and not easy. To let people all over the world know Namo Amituofo, and to let everyone be willing to believe in this, I believe this is a very challenging task. And to find people with good roots like my grandchildren requires even more diligent effort to manage, so that everyone can know the temple, come to the temple together to seek Spiritual Deliverance, and find the way to escape the suffering of the world.
At first, I was also very unable to let go of my family. After finally coming up from the hells, I still missed my family and relatives very much. But in the temple, by following everyone in diligent practice every day—doing daily practice, making prostrations, chanting the Buddha’s name, and reciting the Sutras—I gradually came to understand that, apart from chanting the Buddha’s name, everything in this world is truly too fleeting and too distant. Without , all of this is seen even more clearly.
Today, I am able to return to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss because I also studied the Buddha’s teachings, practised, and helped others in my past lives, which gave me the chance to return here. Originally, I had many complaints about my own life, always feeling that many things should not have happened to me, and feeling that many things were unfair to me.
But now that I am learning the Buddha’s teachings, I know that all of this was created by my own actions over many lifetimes; this cannot deceive anyone, and no one can escape moral foundations and the universal principle. When I was in the world, I did not learn these truths; I was always focused on myself and my family, and in the process, I offended and hurt quite a few people. Although people did not say anything on the surface, the knots in their hearts had already formed, and all of this was creating . Therefore, it also means that if I had not returned to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I would still have to continue to struggle with my own beings in such complex Causal Conditions in the future.
So, I also want to tell my grandchildren that, in fact, everything in the human world now is not that important; what is most important is whether one can truly learn the Buddhist education.
Although I am very grateful that you registered me for the Dharma Assembly for Chao Du, saving me and also delivering the immeasurable and boundless suffering beings connected to me, the most urgent thing now is for you yourselves to learn the Buddha’s teachings.
Of course, you can also counsel those who are connected to you by karmic affinity, but regardless of how others react, you must actively learn the Buddha’s teachings and take the initiative to let go of yourselves; only then can you avoid taking many wrong paths. We should not use these schemes, nor should we plan for ourselves everywhere, even if there are various calculations in the depths of our hearts. Only by walking through this life with integrity and openness can one have the chance to chant the Buddha’s name and return to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
And here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I assure you that there is no world more beautiful than the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss; everyone must take this matter seriously.
I am grateful to Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su, and my grandchildren for arranging the Chao Du for me and sending me to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Thank you to all the Venerables and lay practitioner volunteers for seeing me off on my final journey.
