Yu Min, Father of the Chinese Hydrogen Bomb

Brief Summary: A recipient of the Medal of the Republic and a renowned nuclear physicist, he is hailed as the Father of the Chinese Hydrogen Bomb. Without a background of studying abroad and under extremely arduous conditions, he lived in anonymity for nearly thirty years, leading his team to break through key technologies for the hydrogen bomb (the Yu Min structure) and forging a core national defence shield for the country.

Yu Min:

I am Yu Min. In this life, I devoted myself to helping my motherland become strong and prosperous. My profession was physics, my faith was science, and the value of life lay in loyal service to the country.

I am very clear that a person's name is quite illusory. How many famous people in history are still remembered by the world for what they did during their lifetime after they have passed away? Only a very small number of people can leave a name for eternity. From this perspective, a person should do meaningful things in life to embody the significance of life; and devotion should be the core spirit in a person's life.

I invested a great deal of time and energy in the research and development of nuclear weapons throughout my life, and I played a small role in the hydrogen bomb development project. Some people call me the Father of the Chinese Hydrogen Bomb, a title I truly feel unworthy of. I simply upheld a spirit of devotion throughout my life until I completed this life journey and departed from the world.

After departing from the world, I did not expect that the science I had wholeheartedly believed in was not the ultimate Truth. It turns out that the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way are the true Truth. If there is even the slightest deviation, one must pay the price. I did not understand this principle before. In the various actions of this life, although I upheld good intentions, there were still too many times when I held onto my own stance and subjective views. It turns out that as long as one has not achieved total purity and total Goodness, one has already violated the Truth.

After death, I fell into the heart-gouging hell to suffer retribution. In hell, I was subjected to the torture of having my heart gouged out incessantly; the pain was indescribable. But what hurt even more was knowing that the science I had believed in for a lifetime was so far from the Truth. I had always hoped to contribute to my motherland in this life, but while suffering in hell, I felt great doubt about whether what I had previously considered a contribution was truly beneficial to the motherland.

Very fortunately, through the opportunity of Practitioner Su saving deceased political figures, celebrities, and sentient beings from various countries around the world, I was lucky enough to be one of them. Because of the help of Practitioner Su, I was able to leave hell and was led to the Western Land of Dharma Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. At this moment, I press my palms together, sincerely chanting the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo," and make a vow to come to the world in the future, just like Namo Amituofo, to help suffering sentient beings.

As a spirit without a body, it is simply impossible to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss directly. Fortunately, I have now arrived at the Western Land of Dharma Nature, which is a transit station for entering the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is a Buddha-land established by my benefactor, Practitioner Su. I am grateful to Practitioner Su for establishing this pure and bright world, giving us suffering sentient beings the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and attain Buddhahood.

After arriving at the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I finally understood that what the country truly needed was not how much contribution I made in nuclear weapon research, nor was it developing a new hydrogen bomb structure different from that of the United States. Instead, one should seize the short life to purify the body, heart, and spirit, and elevate one's spirit until attaining Buddhahood. In this way, I could be like Practitioner Su, bringing real benefits to countless sentient beings in the world and saving immeasurable and boundless suffering beings. This is the true contribution to China and is the great Blessing for China.

Namo Amituofo has arrived at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to reside, intending to bring the real benefits of free from aging, free from illness, your spirit never dies to people in the world, and to help everyone be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Therefore, I believe that if we can help the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre propagate the Buddha’s teachings throughout mainland China, it is also a way of contributing. This is equivalent to giving more sentient beings the opportunity to obtain deliverance from Namo Amituofo.

Namo Amituofo saves the world, not just by letting people live better, without aging or illness in the world, but more importantly, by helping everyone elevate their spirit, attain Buddhahood, and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is the true benefit, and it is also the endless compassion and care of Namo Amituofo for every person.

For every sentient being, the Buddha has made the most comprehensive and proper considerations both before and after death. The Buddha is so compassionate and full of Wisdom, telling everyone to chant the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" to help everyone not deviate from the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. If every Chinese person could believe in this Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" and chant it one by one, then there would be an opportunity to find their true self.

If people in the world can lead the countless karmic creditors and attaching spirits within their bodies to chant the Buddha's name together, they will have the opportunity, like Practitioner Su, to realise their true nature and attain Buddhahood while still alive.

Attaining Buddhahood is a major event; as long as it is something that can help sentient beings be saved, that is a major event. If it is only about the feelings and interests of one's own body, or even satisfying desires, these are actually trivial matters of no consequence.

This is a principle I learned in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. It turns out that attaining Buddhahood is so great because after attaining Buddhahood, it is not just oneself who becomes a Buddha; it also means that the countless cells, karmic creditors, and attaching spirits within one's body also attain Buddhahood together.

When I was alive, the reason I devoted myself to the research of the hydrogen bomb was also because I hoped to build a strong and reliable national defence for the country. However, in the Land of Dharma Nature, I truly understood what is meant by "all phenomena are created by the mind." If everyone could see through the truth of everything in the world from the perspective of the spirit as I do, they would certainly understand: all the suffering in the world is not actually what the secular world perceives, nor is it caused by the various reasons analysed and thought out by people; the root lies in the spiritual level that the physical eyes cannot see.

Everyone ages, gets sick, and dies because the karmic creditors within their bodies kick their souls out of their bodies, causing them to slowly age, get sick, and eventually die. For those suffering from serious illnesses, although the body is still alive, a part of the soul has actually already gone to hell to suffer retribution. Do not disbelieve this. I have seen with my own eyes in the Land of Dharma Nature that people have three hun souls and seven po souls. When more and more of one's souls are kicked out of the body, it means that this body is slowly becoming a puppet for karmic creditors or other attaching spirits.

Seeing this situation, I reflected deeply in my heart. Previously, I hoped to help the country have better national defence and hoped that the Chinese people could live in a safer environment. However, if most Chinese people are actually no longer their true selves, then what was the meaning of everything I did back then?

When I understood this matter and saw this truth, I realised that what China truly needs now is the Buddhist education of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

Only by understanding the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way can one prevent one's soul from being kicked out of the body by karmic creditors; only by keeping one's heart in a state of total purity and total Goodness can one allow one's soul to possess strong immunity.

Regarding the national defence issue I mentioned earlier, in fact, all the wars and wars of aggression between countries in the world, and even the fighting, killing, and mutual harm between people, are actually manipulated by various spirits at the spiritual level behind the scenes.

Of course, this is also because in this process, the bodies of those who hold power and have social influence are no longer mastered by their own true self, but are manipulated by karmic creditors or demon crowds. Precisely because of this, various conflict behaviours of people harming each other and countries invading each other occur.

Having said so much, I, Yu Min, actually want to tell everyone: one must be able to be the master of one's own life. If one cannot be the master, and one's body is manipulated by other spirits, one will never know what one might end up doing. I also want to tell everyone a serious fact: after death, the various sins committed by this body while being manipulated by karmic creditors or demon crowds must still be repaid by the true self within one's body. Think about it, is this fact not very sorrowful?

Therefore, every Chinese person should learn to protect their own soul and achieve true resolution with the karmic creditors within their bodies. This requires compassion, good deeds, and the Ultimate Vow to save the world and sentient beings. However, what exactly is saving the world? How does one make a vow? Without exposure to true Buddhist education, how would many people understand?

Why did Namo Amituofo come to the world? It is to tell everyone what vows we should make and what we should do to truly benefit sentient beings.

This is from the perspective of external appearance. From the internal perspective, the Buddha came to the world not only to help people be free from aging, free from illness, and ensure their spirit never dies, but more importantly, to help everyone recognise that they are originally a Buddha. As long as one can let go of everything in the world and look inward, one can see one's original appearance, which is so close to the Buddha.

Why did Namo Amituofo come to the world to tell everyone about the Buddha's vow? It is actually to let everyone initiate the same Ultimate Vow as Namo Amituofo, thereby awakening the compassionate memory deep within one's spirit.

If everyone in the world could properly chant this Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" and learn Buddhist education, then sooner or later, the world would be able to achieve true peace, and there would no longer be any aggression or conflict between countries.

In fact, when everyone is born, they are in a state of total purity and total Goodness; the spirit of a child is so pure and flawless. If they could receive the correct guidance, how would they slowly form a character full of demon nature and bias later on?

Namo Amituofo came to the world to help everyone find their original pure, bright, and auspicious characteristics, but this depends on whether everyone has the blessings to believe in the teachings of Namo Amituofo. Now, Practitioner Su is leading the Namo Amituofo salvation team to actively propagate the Buddhist education of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, hoping that more people will have the opportunity to be saved when they come into contact with the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

In China, Buddhist education is actually needed as the foundation of education for every child, so that China's development in all aspects will not lose its meaning. Because, first of all, there must be Chinese people who can truly be their own masters before there can be a true China. If every Chinese person cannot be their own master, then is such a China still the true China?

Future China should be a country where everyone can be their own master, with everyone chanting this Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" and being reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss in the future. By that time, China will be the true Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss in the human world.

This is my wish as Yu Min, now in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. To fulfil this wish, it also requires the support of China's leaders or the fulfilment of Causal Conditions from all sides. However, I believe that China is a country with great blessings, and one day the good roots, Blessings, and Causal Conditions will mature.

To make the good roots, Blessings, and Causal Conditions of all Chinese people mature sooner and to let everyone establish a connection with the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia more quickly, I have discovered a very good method in the Land of Dharma Nature, which I would like to suggest here: that is to set up more Namo Amituofo billboards within mainland China.

Namo Amituofo billboards may look like just small boards, but they can emit massive golden light, leading immeasurable and boundless suffering sentient beings into the light to obtain deliverance. Currently, countless sentient beings have come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia seeking Chao Du because they saw the golden light emitted by the Namo Amituofo billboards. Practitioner Su is very compassionate and has led them all to the Western Land of Dharma Nature, allowing them to be reborn there.

If the golden light emitted by the Namo Amituofo billboards could shine over the whole of China, it could actually purify the magnetic field of the entire country. For the Chinese people living within it, this also has a great soothing effect on the sentient beings within their bodies. Therefore, if a large number of Namo Amituofo billboards could be set up within China, it could quickly allow the Goodness and compassion in the hearts of the Chinese people to be revealed, and it could also greatly shorten the time to connect with the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.

I never thought that in my past life, I wanted to emulate Mr. Zhuge Kongming's words of "devoting my utmost efforts until my heart stops beating," only to find in the end that it was all nothing left. It turns out that the various actions in the world have no meaning after all.

Only by meeting Namo Amituofo and the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can one understand what people should actually do in the world, and only then can one achieve a truly valuable career. Because only by helping everyone elevate their spirit and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss does it have true value. If we can help Chinese children have the opportunity to realise their true nature and attain Buddhahood in this life in the future, such a career is worth us devoting our utmost efforts until our hearts stop beating.

Everyone must face death in their lifetime. When I was alive, I thought that as long as I could "leave a loyal heart to shine in the annals of history," what did it matter if I died? However, this ignored the spiritual level and did not consider where one's soul would go after death.

Now I understand that the primary responsibility of everyone's life is to be responsible for their own soul. Whether one can have a stable destination after death depends entirely on whether one can abide by the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. If one can abide by them, one can go to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss in the future; and if one fails to abide by them, there is a high probability of falling into hell to suffer retribution.

This is not a selfish mindset. In fact, if a person's spirit does not have a good destination after death, it means that the countless karmic creditors and sentient beings within their body will also find it difficult to leave suffering behind. They are actually suffering very, very much and need us to take responsibility and lead them to obtain liberation.

The only way is to accept Buddhist education and listen to sutras and hear the Dharma together with one's karmic creditors. Furthermore, use your own heart to lead your karmic creditors to make a transformation together. If you can let your karmic creditors chant the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" with you, then not only can you be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, but the karmic creditors within your body can also be reborn in the Western Pure Land together.

What kind of person can truly achieve reconciliation with the karmic creditors within their own body? In the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I have come to understand that it is those who have realised their true nature and attained Buddhahood. It is like Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, who can truly achieve pure goodness and purity, allowing the countless sentient beings within their own cells to also realise their true nature and attain Buddhahood.

After attaining Buddhahood, one can use the ability of countless manifestations to travel to all parts of the world to perform Chao Du, save immeasurable and boundless suffering sentient beings, and help the people of the world. This will bring tremendous help to the awakened being themselves, the country they are in, and all sentient beings and people throughout the world. This is the true contribution.

In other words, if everyone wants to contribute to their country and society to the greatest extent in this life, they should not seek outwardly, but rather seek inwardly. Only by solving the problems within one's own body and within oneself can one truly make a substantial contribution to the external country and society. This is why Buddhist education is important, because everything is sought inwardly, and the key lies in achieving reconciliation with the karmic creditors within one's body.

Pure goodness and purity are such powerful forces that they can help the karmic creditors within one's body to be calm and make a transformation. This can be said to be both easy and difficult; it depends on whether everyone can let go of the various enjoyments and sensations of their own body. If one can truly be unselfish and follow the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, the karmic creditors within their body will also be willing to reconcile with them.

Listening to Practitioner Su give Dharma talks, I realised that all things in the world are individual spaces, and within each of them are sentient beings. In this way, the various particles studied in physics are actually individual sentient beings. When they were alive, they once had human bodies and were once human beings just like us; yet after death, they are unable to leave the space they are in. How many such suffering spirits are there in the world, unable to escape from these spaces and suffering? In the Western Land of Dharma Nature, what I see are immeasurable and boundless sentient beings, because all things—everything we hold in our hands, wear on our bodies, eat with our mouths, and see with our eyes—have sentient beings within them.

These sentient beings, if it were not for Practitioner Su bringing Namo Amituofo to various places to emit massive golden light, and using the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" to open up the spaces where they reside, they might never have the opportunity to be saved.

I am truly grateful that Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have appeared in this world, giving people all over the world the opportunity to be liberated and leave suffering behind. Rebirth in the Western Pure Land is a goal that everyone should have, and saving the world is a wish that everyone should make.

Now, I, Yu Min, am here to sincerely wish that everyone in all of China can come to learn the Buddha’s teachings, learn the true Buddha’s teachings, and move forward on the path of spiritual elevation. If there is an opportunity to attain Buddhahood, that is naturally the best; if one does not have time to attain Buddhahood in this life, at least one can be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss after death.

This is the true benefit that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can bring to the world.
