A Call to Awakening: The Third Letter from Zhao Puchu
Teachings from the Spirit of Zhao Puchu
A Message for the President of the Buddhist Association of China
A Message from the of Ultimate Bliss
I take up my pen once more to write this third letter. This is a message arriving from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and it brings with it news of great significance. Within the world today, Buddhism has begun to take on a brand new face. To the current President, Master Xuecheng: if you are willing to place your faith in this message and travel to this place, you too can be free from illness. This is because the moment you resolve the blind spot in your practice, you will find that sickness no longer has a hold upon you.
To stand out among the masses and ascend to the position of President of the Buddhist Association of China is no small feat. It is a testament to your extraordinary capabilities, Master. If you were to add to this the true essence of practice—the transformation of the heart through the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way—you would surely become a virtuous monastic, capable of achieving Buddhahood and attaining rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss with total ease. Why would you not choose such a path? I sincerely hope that you will accept this authentic message transmitted from here and make the journey to Australia.
The Living Reality of the Buddha
Although you may have never heard of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and though your heart may incline towards ignoring this message, I urge you to look closer. This is not the same as the common spiritual communications found in the outside world. This is not an ordinary matter; the level of sanctity and magnificence here is beyond what one can imagine. Have you ever personally witnessed a temple where the Buddha is truly present? This is that very place. Here, the Buddha’s light constantly illuminates all, and the atmosphere is always filled with the of the .
This centre is not merely a connection to the West; it is a living Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss here in the human world. I, Zhao Puchu, tell you this: without this place, I would not be in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss today. In this current age of the Dharma’s decline, it is exceptionally difficult to practise and successfully reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Most people take one wrong step, and that single error leads them down a path that ends in the hells.
The Crisis of the Dharma-Ending Age
Do you know how many monastics are currently residing in the hells? The number is immeasurable and boundless. One could say that for every ten monastics, all ten are destined for the hells, with the only difference being the severity of their suffering. What exactly has gone wrong with Buddhism? The answer is simple: it is the word "wanting."
Even as monastics, there are still things that are desired. These desires manifest in many ways:
- Material Possessions: Attachment to physical objects or worldly goods.
- External Affairs: Being caught up in the business of the world rather than the work of the spirit.
- Fame and Profit: Seeking the praise of others or worldly gain.
- The : Allowing greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance, and doubt to cloud the heart.
- The and : Becoming enslaved by the pursuit of wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep, and the sensory inputs of the world.
The fundamental issue is that many have not yet made the 100% sincere vow to save all beings. They do not have a genuine, burning desire to reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Without this, it is impossible to achieve success in one's practice, let alone attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is a very difficult path indeed.
A Personal Invitation to Verify the Truth
Sickness should not be the natural state of a monastic. A true practitioner must not be plagued by illness. I, Zhao Puchu, am here—truly here—waiting for you to come and verify this for yourself. Once you arrive, you will understand what it means to practise in such a way that one is free from illness and free from death. This is the absolute truth. Namo Amituofo.
Written by the hand of Zhao Puchu.
The content of this message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Shi Fazhi.
