This is a record of an interview with Li Xiuzhen, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition from the spiritual realms to the Western Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on February 19, 2026.

Li Xiuzhen speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Greetings to Practitioner Su. My name is Li Xiuzhen, and I was, in every sense, an ordinary mother. To find myself here today, in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, is something I never could have imagined in my wildest dreams. It is truly a miracle that has unfolded in my own life. I must take this precious opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su. Thank you for your boundless and your extraordinary skills, which have allowed me to finally cease my suffering as a spirit.

And to my dear child, I offer my heartfelt thanks. Although you have taken the vows of a monastic, you remain my child. Our roles have changed, and our responsibilities differ, but the bond remains. Seeing you now, I am filled with such peace."

The Grey Reality of the Spirit Realm

"Reflecting on this, I cannot help but feel a profound sense of realisation. It is only after completing the journey of life that one truly understands the reality of existence. During my time in the Western Land of Nature, where I spent my days listening to the sutras and hearing the Dharma, I came to understand so many truths that were hidden from me before. I realise now that I spent my entire life in a state of confusion, drifting through the years. But then again, who among us does not? I lived my life, and when it ended, I became what people call a 'ghost.'

I cannot say that my time as a spirit was filled with unbearable agony, but it was certainly a life of suffering. At the very least, compared to the human world, every day felt like a year. I never liked that existence—it was grey, dim, and entirely devoid of purpose. I was lost in a cycle of aimless wandering, and I am so relieved to have left that behind."

The Profound Truths of the Dharma-Nature Land

"My days in the Western Land of Dharma Nature were the most fulfilling and meaningful of my entire existence. From the initial quiet and peace, I gradually began to grasp the situation. I started to understand the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way that Practitioner Su speaks of. I began to see the reality of the universe—the true nature of things and the reality of the cycle of rebirth. I had been living within these laws all along, yet I was completely ignorant of them. It is much like how a mother finally realises that when we are in the human body, is not truly 'us.' Even now, as I look down at the people on Earth, I see they are all trapped in this same misunderstanding. There is so much in the spiritual realms that I never knew, and I never understood the laws of and cause and effect that governed my life. I have learned so much now, though I regret that I no longer have a physical body to put all this into practice."

A Mother's Plea to Her Son

"I want to tell my child: you have a deep Buddhist affinity in this life, and that is the greatest blessing of all. There is nothing more important than this! You must take advantage of the time you have while you still possess a human body. Follow Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su closely and learn from them. If it is at all possible, coming to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to practise is the best thing you could ever do. Watching the practitioners in the human world from here, I see that only by coming to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can one truly engage in authentic practice. It is the only place where one can truly find their true self.

It is not that other places are inherently 'bad,' but think about it—there are so many temples in this world, yet where can you find a true Buddha residing in the world today? I look at every temple; some have a faint light, while others are completely devoid of radiance. But the Buddha-light of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre illuminates the entire Dharma Realm, the universe, and the Earth! Where else could you possibly find such a thing? You simply cannot find it anywhere else!"

A Final Message to the World

"This is something I only discovered after I shed my physical body. I share this with the hope that everyone in the world who reads this interview will believe in the compassion of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. Their power to save the world is real, and to encounter such a thing is truly 'difficult to encounter in millions of years.' If I still had a body to practise with, I would certainly strive to do this well. Now, my status has changed; I am a resident of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, having arrived less than a day ago. I cherish this transformation deeply, and I know I must not waste it. I must practise diligently so that I, too, may have the opportunity to do the work of saving others, just as the Buddha does.

Well, I have said enough. I hope that everyone who reads my words can truly surrender themselves to the Buddha and understand the importance of correcting their own ways. If everyone could do that, the world would surely be at peace.

Namo Amituofo."
