Hong Jinye speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Hong Jinye. Arriving here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is truly a reality—it is not a dream, but a profound and absolute truth. I wish to send a message of peace to my family in the human world: please, do not worry about me any longer. Your mother has successfully attained rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This place is exactly as described in the Infinite Life Sutra and the Sutra; it is magnificent beyond words, filled with a dignity that is impossible to convey in human language.
The Reality of the Western Pure Land
I have only been here for a few hours, yet it feels as though I have finally come home. Practitioner Su took my hand and personally guided me from the into the heart of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. My heart is overflowing with gratitude—gratitude to Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su for their boundless . My heart has opened completely, allowing me to fully receive the brilliance of the Buddha-light. Many of us who have just arrived in the Western Pure Land spend our time prostrating before the Buddha and bathing in the radiance of His light. Although I only left the human world a short while ago, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have reached this place.
When my life in the human world reached its end, although I endured the inevitable suffering of aging and sickness, it was not as painful as it might have been. After I passed, I found myself in a state of confusion, lingering in the space of my own home because I could not let go of the familiar. I kept watching the scenes of my life play out before me. This is the reality for so many people; we are often unable to let go of our families or the things we have done. We cling to what is familiar, and so we naturally return to that space.
The Path of Purification
Now that I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, it is only after spending several weeks of purification in the Western -Nature Land that I feel truly refreshed and joyful. I finally understand that this is the true destination for our spirits. To rely solely on one's own strength to attain rebirth is an incredibly difficult task. However, because Practitioner Su is here—a truly awakened being who can freely travel to and from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—I, Hong Jinye, was granted this precious opportunity. For this, I am profoundly grateful and filled with .
Looking down at my family in the human world, I want to share some words with my children. My life was a journey of ups and downs, but it has finally led me to this Buddha-land. Now that I am clear-headed, I realise that I did not come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss merely for the sake of comfort. While I was in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, I saw the suffering of the human world so clearly. I realised that I, like so many others, had spent my life living in suffering without even knowing it. I was unaware of how my own attachments and emotional entanglements were the very source of my pain. My children, you must wake up to this truth.
A Message to My Children
I am struck by the realisation that at eighty-something years old, my physical strength was so different from the strength Practitioner Su possesses today. It is truly remarkable. Haha, such a magnificent opportunity is right before your eyes. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia is a true Pure Land on Earth. Even if you have only heard of this place, it is a sign of your immense . Today, your old mother has been able to share in those blessings to reach this place.
What is most special is that since arriving here, I have begun to see clearly the events of my many past lives. I realised that I was once a practitioner who chanted the Buddha's name, but because my emotional entanglements were too deep, I could not let go of my family, and thus I could not attain rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is a regret I carry, but it is now resolved.
The Precious Opportunity at Hsiang Kuang
Now that the causal conditions have matured and I have received the compassionate guidance of the Buddha, I hope my children will cherish the magnificent opportunity to know this temple. Spend more time understanding everything here. You will discover that this place is entirely different—it is unlike the outside world or any other bodhimanda. If you can use your own strength to promote this great Dharma and tell those around you about it, that is a great merit. Helping others attain Buddhahood is the same as helping yourself attain Buddhahood.
My mind is now completely open, especially after the purification I underwent here. I have understood all the principles. I hope my family in the human world can be at ease. I hope my children can all live good lives, following the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. Do not deviate from this path; only then can you truly complete this life without unnecessary suffering. If you are willing to practice the Buddha's teachings, that would be the best thing of all.
Gratitude and Final Reflections
My son, Lin Zhihua, you have been practising Buddhism for a long time, and now you know that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a true Dharma Jewel. You must thoroughly understand everything here. Spread the word; tell everyone about the wonders and the high-level spiritual technology found here. Do not waste this life, which is your opportunity to dissolve your . I see that your body is also experiencing situations of illness; it can be said that no one can escape the path of birth, aging, sickness, and death. We are all moving along this road; it is only a matter of time. Therefore, while you still have a human body, you must seize every opportunity to act for the benefit of others. Only by working for others can your own body, mind, and spirit truly heal. From the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I can see everyone very clearly.
I hope my children can all make progress, let go of your rigid attachments or subjective views, and open your hearts to feel the beauty of all this. Under the arrangement and blessings of the Buddha, you will surely walk the true path of Buddhist practice—that is the most important thing. Holding onto too much money or wealth is not a wise choice. It is better to practice generosity early on; only by letting go can you truly gain! I am also grateful to Lay Practitioner Li Ruizhen, who has a deep karmic affinity with me. He frequently advocates for everyone to learn about the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and Namo Amituofo; his merit is truly immeasurable! Many people have come to know this centre because of his introductions. We are all filled with gratitude, and I hope he can soon complete his studies and return to demonstrate what a true Buddhist practitioner should look like.
Well, I have said enough. Returning to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss means I must now focus on my practice. I will be even more diligent here, forgetting and letting go of the past, and focusing on learning from the Buddha. One day, I will let you see a different version of me—a Hong Jinye who can save beings just as the Buddha does. Thank you all, and thank you to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for their great compassion.
Namo Amituofo."
Hong Jinye
