Amitabha Buddha's discourse:
Development means: on the existing foundation, utilise the current situation, further develop and deepen it, so that original abilities or conditions may be manifested, to break through and improve the current situation, and subsequently continue to develop, using these abilities to save oneself and, following Namo Amituofo, to save the world and beings.
At the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia—the place where Namo Amituofo abides—Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su are by the side of the fourfold assembly 24/7. You may ask questions at any time; where there is confusion or lack of understanding, there is guidance. By putting this understanding into actual practice, one may attain realisation and have the opportunity for .
In the process of practice, if one encounters the reappearance of one's personality, attracting to manifest, or interference from demon crowds, with the assistance of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, one may engage in daily spiritual healing, and perform spiritual deliverance, helping the fourfold assembly to have the opportunity for the purification of , heart, and spirit.
By chanting one Buddha's name to the end and being fiercely diligent, not letting a single second pass in vain, and through daily practice of prostrations, chanting Namo Amituofo, and reciting the Sutras—when performing prostrations, focus on every Buddha-name and every movement. From beginning to end, if one can remain focused without distraction or , one will have Discipline () and meditative concentration, and gain different realisations.
After persevering for a period of time and establishing the basic skills of Discipline (Precepts) and meditative concentration, one enters the stage of development. This allows one, when performing prostrations and chanting Namo Amituofo, to be clear and not drowsy in every thought of the Buddha-name. This is the opening of Wisdom (Prajna) and the manifestation of wisdom upon the foundation of Discipline (Precepts) and meditative concentration, developing one's inner, priceless wisdom. This is progress in body and heart within the Three Learnings of Precepts, Samadhi, and Wisdom, elevating the quality of one's spirit.
One should develop the infinite Goodness, , wisdom, virtuous abilities, and auspicious characteristics within. One should develop the nature of within, which is the instinct of the Six Roots, so as to be able to find one's true self.
Development is the ability to utilise the current situation and further develop it; if one improves upon it, one can break through and improve, advancing further and further until one becomes an awakened being.
The development of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, which saves countless suffering beings, is a precious land for beings to leave suffering behind and attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land. It is a great fortune and a great blessing for all!
