This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Huang Yuquan, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition from the heavenly realms to the Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on April 10, 2026.

Lay Practitioner Huang Yuquan speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Huang Yuquan. Today, I am prepared to accept this interview from the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to share the journey of my heart and mind as I arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. At this moment, my heart is incredibly calm and filled with .

First and foremost, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Namo Amituofo and to Practitioner Su. I am profoundly thankful for all the Causal Conditions that have allowed me to stand here today and share the wonders of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss with all of you. I have known of Namo Amituofo for a long time, and I understood that the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a world where the spirit never dies. However, after I passed away, I did not arrive here immediately; instead, I went to the heavenly realms. At the time, I felt that this was already a great achievement, and I was quite satisfied. Many people take pride in aspiring to reach the heavens and becoming celestial beings, believing it to be a boundless blessing—a place where one can dance with celestial beings and immortals. It is what many people refer to as 'Heaven.' I lived in that realm for a time before I was finally guided to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

From the Heavenly Realms to the Pure Land

Since arriving here, I feel it is necessary to report to everyone about the beauty and magnificence of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I travelled from the first level of the heavenly realms to the , and finally entered the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Although all three are bright and luminous worlds, I must say that the Buddha-land is truly a world established by the Buddha—a world created specifically so that all beings can achieve liberation and leave suffering behind. Even though I have only been here for a few hours, I can already feel the overwhelming that permeates this place. The compassion and Wisdom of Namo Amituofo fill my entire soul.

The compassion of the Buddha lies in the fact that He has no discriminations, and not a single trace of self-interest. His heart is completely transparent and bright, thinking only of all beings. When I looked at the Buddha for the first time here, I could not help but burst into tears. I have always known that I was a child with a strong Buddhist affinity, but standing before the Buddha now, my tears flowed like a spring. I wanted to make a vow to the Buddha right then and there: I must practise diligently here, attain Buddhahood as soon as possible, and return to the human world to save countless suffering beings.

The Example of Practitioner Su

Just like Practitioner Su, who has returned to the human world time and time again—countless times, in fact—all for the sake of saving beings. We can see this very clearly and distinctly from here. The story of Practitioner Su’s life is truly moving. Both Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su are my greatest role models. Furthermore, I am sincerely grateful to have such a wonderful sister, Huang Aizhen. She registered me for Chao Du at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, which gave me the opportunity to be guided to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I truly bless her; since she has already encountered the Buddha, she must quicken her pace and seize this golden opportunity. Unlike me, she still possesses a human body. She can use this human body to strive diligently, to realise her true nature and attain Buddhahood just like the Buddha, and to help other beings. It all depends on her own willingness. To be able to practise well and let go of all these worldly attachments is a truly rare and precious thing.

A Message to My Family

People in the world find it hard to imagine this kind of life, but ever since I arrived in the Western -Nature Land and completely purified myself, I have longed for the opportunity to help other beings in any way possible. To let all beings know the Buddha’s teachings, to know Namo Amituofo and the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—this is something I am deeply committed to doing.

To my family and friends, I sincerely wish to tell you that I am safe and at peace; you should be happy for me. I did not suffer much in the world after death, and now I have attained eternal joy. You must learn to let go of the many and thoughts regarding your physical bodies while you are still in the world. Many of us in the world are destroyed by our own subjectivity, our dissatisfaction, and our narrow perspectives. Every one of these things can cause our spirits to fall. What is called 'spiritual falling' means entering the three lower realms after death, or continuing to suffer in the cycle of rebirth within the six realms of existence without clarity. Now, my spirit has been elevated time and time again. This time, my body, mind, and spirit have truly been allowed to flourish. The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a world of the spirit, so my spirit now has infinite space here to progress and improve.

The Inconceivable Technology of the Dharma

All of this is truly inconceivable. To be able to communicate with people in the human world in this way, and to be able to express my inner world for people to hear—this itself is a form of 'high-tech' within the Buddha’s teachings. Looking at the world today, only Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can accomplish this, and she can also lead the fourfold assembly of disciples who come to seek the Dharma to achieve it as well. If I still had a human body in the human world, I would certainly come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to practise even more diligently. I would no longer be attached to the various things of the world. Everything changes within Causal Conditions and progresses within impermanence; there is nothing worth lingering over for long.

I have spoken many profound truths here; I wonder if you are accustomed to hearing them? Regardless, during this time of purification, I have felt truly joyful and secure. I hope you can all feel happy for me. If you can all return to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—this Buddha-land—as soon as possible, that would be the most wonderful thing of all.

Finally, I sincerely wish you all success in attaining the Buddha’s path soon. Gratitude to Namo Amituofo, gratitude to Practitioner Su, and gratitude for everything.

Namo Amituofo.
