Fan Zongpei:
Namo Amituofo.
I, Fan Zongpei, am currently sending this message from the Western Land of Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. I am a composer well-known to the world. I never knew that the Buddha was so great and so compassionate.
Now, in the Land of Dharma Nature, I look at the sky above the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. In the sky is the immense Namo Amituofo; the Buddha is so compassionate, forever reaching out to lead suffering souls.
I am deeply grateful to the compassionate Namo Amituofo for creating the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. There, souls no longer suffer any pain, nor do they need to worry about entering reincarnation to suffer again, possessing an infinite spiritual life.
The key to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is this phrase, "Namo Amituofo." Having finally found this treasure, I dare not slacken for a moment and am diligently reciting this phrase, Namo Amituofo. In the Land of Dharma Nature, I feel better than I have ever felt before.
Regarding the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I believe it is a place that every Christian should go to. Because in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Jesus Christ, whom we believe in, is waiting for us in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Since even Jesus is immigrating to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, as a devout Christian, I should certainly make a vow to go to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss to see for myself. This is my current wish.
However, to achieve this, I listened to Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks and learned that one must generate the mind, which is to make the great vow to save sentient beings. Whether I currently possess such a vow, I am not entirely sure, but I think time will give me the answer.
In short, no matter what, the current me—Fan Zongpei—has no worries in the Western Land of Dharma Nature; I no longer need to fret over any person or thing. In this completely pure and bright environment, my heart remains in a state of peace.
With every recitation of "Namo Amituofo," pure and good energy nourishes my soul, and I feel myself more each day. I am very grateful for my encounter with the Buddha; otherwise, I would still be suffering in hell right now.
I still believe in Jesus Christ, but it is through the guidance of Jesus Christ that I have further come to believe in Namo Amituofo. The power of the Buddha’s teachings is truly vast and boundless. I see "Namo Amituofo" billboards set up by the temple all over the world. These billboards are truly remarkable; they have already saved many suffering souls in the world. Even beings in space, under the illumination of the immense golden light emitted by these billboards, have entered the Western Land of Dharma Nature. We have three such Namo Amituofo billboards in Taiwan.
In this life, I have had decent achievements in music, having won the Golden Horse Award, the Golden Bell Award, and the Golden Melody Award. However, I never knew that as a composer, I had unknowingly committed sins.
Because my music and my abilities were recognised, many people sought me out to produce songs. In order to make the music I wrote meet the specific needs of my clients, I always had to spend a great deal of effort designing these songs. In doing so, I committed sins. Because I used my knowledge and mind to compose music that makes people in the world addicted, I entered the brain-gouging hell after death. As for why I entered the copper pillar hell, it was because, deep in my heart, I had not truly severed my greed for desire and emotion.
Furthermore, many of the songs I wrote did not actually reduce people’s inner afflictions after they listened to them; instead, they triggered specific emotions and deep within them.
As for the style of music I, Fan Zongpei, am accustomed to composing, much of it belongs to the sad and melancholic genre. In truth, with my ability, I can handle various styles, but I must admit that I am indeed more skilled in this area of music. It could also be said that due to market demand, I put more effort into this type of music than other genres.
As a well-known composer of soundtracks, it did indeed bring me considerable wealth and fame. However, the price paid in terms of the laws of and cause and effect was also enormous, because the films that used my soundtracks revolved around the emotions and various feelings of the human body.
With the help of my soundtracks, the audience could resonate and identify more with these emotions and feelings. Conversely, this led me to cling more and more to my own body, becoming increasingly attached to the sensations, emotions, and feelings of this body. This was a huge burden on my body and mind, and as my works influenced more people, my body and mind were actually harmed even more. This is the price of going against the universal principle and the righteous path of Truth.
An understanding of the Law of Cause and Effect is indeed very important. If one cannot truly let go of the attachment to this body and truly let go of inner selfishness, one often commits sins unknowingly. Therefore, receiving Buddhist education is indeed very important, especially if one can begin receiving Buddhist education from a young age, which is of immense help to oneself.
I am grateful to Practitioner Su for saving me from hell. At that time, my soul was covered in scars. Fortunately, upon arriving in the Land of Dharma Nature, under the illumination of the Buddha’s light, I slowly recovered. Now, I am a brand-new soul, carrying my new faith, vowing to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and constantly reciting this phrase, "Namo Amituofo."
I am very curious about Practitioner Su, because Practitioner Su still has a human body yet has already attained Buddhahood; he is a Buddha in the human world. I really wanted to know how he did it. After listening to the sutras and hearing the Dharma, I learned that Practitioner Su attained Buddhahood by following the guidance of Namo Amituofo, practising step by step.
Now he has obtained the true benefits of the Buddha’s teachings, which are: not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die. This is also the mission of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia: to allow people all over the world to obtain the true benefits of the Buddha’s teachings, to no longer worry about the problems of aging and illness, and to give everyone the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Here, I would like to further introduce my benefactor, Practitioner Su. After attaining Buddhahood, Practitioner Su has continuously used his spiritual ability of countless manifestations to perform all over the world, saving many suffering souls. It can be said that immeasurable and boundless, countless souls have been saved because of Practitioner Su’s Chao Du, and throughout this process, Namo Amituofo has always been with Practitioner Su, never having left.
Witnessing the scene of Practitioner Su performing Chao Du in the Land of Dharma Nature, I feel very grateful and very proud, because Practitioner Su is a Taiwanese person. As a fellow Taiwanese, I feel very honoured. It can be said that Practitioner Su is the true "Light of Taiwan," spreading our kind and simple Taiwanese spirit to the whole world. I believe that one day, the whole world will know that a Taiwanese person has attained Buddhahood; he is at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, constantly saving beings.
In the Land of Dharma Nature, I can see that Australia is a very fortunate country because Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su are right here in Australia, residing in Australia for the long term. However, many Australians are still unaware that the Buddha has come to Australia. I think it is only a matter of time; after all, where else in the world can bring people the benefits of "not grow old, not get sick, and the spirit does not die"? Only the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia can do this.
I am now calling on all Taiwanese people to quickly come to Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, to see our Taiwanese "Light of Taiwan."
In short, if you can come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to witness what true Buddha’s teachings are, it will be of immense help to you.
Please help pass the above information to my family. I hope they will not be sad for me, but rather know that I have been reborn in the Western Land of Dharma Nature.
