Huang Ma Jialan:
I am Huang Ma Jialan, and I am here to share the good news that I have been rescued from hell. In that place of immense suffering, I was saved. I am now in the Western Land of Nature at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. Those who saved me are Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. This must be said first, as Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su are my saviours. At this moment, I am sharing my current situation with a heart full of and gratitude.
Everyone calls me "Mother Huang." From the age of nineteen, I was always busy, until I passed away from colon cancer. I have done many things in my life and earned a lot of money. The most meaningful thing I felt I did in my life was helping many orphans and establishing scholarships. With no regrets, I donated my savings and income to several universities in Singapore to set up scholarships, allowing many children to study and pursue their education well. I hope to encourage those outstanding students who are unable to afford schooling. Because I know that in this realistic society, knowledge is a lifelong guarantee compared to status and fame.
I, Mother Huang, have done good deeds all my life and have never done anything against my conscience, yet I ended up reporting directly to hell after I died. Everyone must be surprised, right? How could such a compassionate and amiable Mother Huang end up in hell after death? What should we do then? Everyone, if you are hearing what I am saying now, please do not end up in hell like I did.
Whether it was starting a business from scratch when I was young, or investing in tin mining, shipping, and the hotel industry in Hong Kong to become a millionaire, I have done it all. In addition, I was a member of the national bowling team and also a finger-painting artist—an artist who uses fingers instead of brushes. At the same time, I never missed an opportunity to adopt orphans or perform acts of generosity. As long as I knew about it, I would contribute whatever money or effort I could. I have always believed that money is not mine; it comes from all directions.
I once told myself: "If I help others succeed, I am succeeding myself. When I pass away, I will not leave with any regrets." I once took pride in my heart that I had achieved this; but I never imagined that when I breathed my last, I would enter hell.
Twenty-four hours a day, I earned money in the way of worldly people. I constantly enriched myself just to earn a little more money so that my ideals could be realised. I insisted on learning the Buddha’s teachings and doing good deeds because I knew my own inadequacies, so I hoped that children would not have to suffer as I did. The media said that I built a business empire at a young age, which was a recognition of my hard work. I could not enjoy it alone, as that would only be personal wealth; I had to share it with the public. We must all work together; only when everyone is well can I be well, rather than just myself.
Upholding this philosophy, my life was quite busy, and I would not let myself be idle. Life is so precious, so as long as I had a breath left, I had to make good use of this body. I knew that I had to share the benefits I received with the public, so that the efforts of the public could be rewarded, and in turn, this power could be passed on to do things that help the public.
However, why would such a situation lead to hell? Let me tell you, this is because I did not learn the spiritual education within the Buddha’s teachings. In my life, whether it was the things I encountered in my family before marriage, or the strength I gained to rise above poverty through constant effort, did I ever have afflictions in my heart? In my later life, whether in the thoughts behind my actions or in how I handled matters, were there not deviations? As long as a selfish thought arose, or I thought of myself, that was not acceptable—not even in the slightest. Even in the distribution of wealth, thinking that it would be better to give more here and less there—did that weighing not contain selfishness?
Although I appeared as a philanthropist and an amiable Mother Huang to everyone—and yes, that is what I hoped to bring to everyone, and naturally, people called me that—this did not mean that I was completely without a selfish heart, nor did it mean that I did not have selfish motives for myself or my family. This is not allowed; in the Buddha’s teachings, this is considered selfish. A truly pure and kind heart is one that truly dedicates itself, without being selfish, without losing sight of greater beneficiaries for the sake of oneself or one's family. Yes, this sounds quite strict, but if you think this is not important, you are wrong; this is a very important matter. Because whether it is "selfishness" or "having a self," someone will be harmed. Only completely selfless giving is in accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. This is very important, and this is what I learned in the Western Land of Dharma Nature.
Everyone encountered in the world, including relatives or surrounding work partners, is actually gathered together due to ; it is all due to causal conditions. This is called "Causal conditions arise, causal conditions cease." Mother Huang lived to be eighty-eight years old, which can be considered a long life. I am grateful to Heaven for the lifespan I was given, allowing me to do the things I wanted to do, and I consider myself to have a clear conscience.
However, in this, sometimes for the sake of achieving certain goals, I occasionally had to deviate. The so-called deviation was that in my speech or thoughts, I had the intention of inciting others to do certain things. Oh, this was not allowed; this was not sincere. Although the final results of what I did seemed sincere, in fact, there was already a deviation in the initial thought, and that created karma. Therefore, when I arrived at the Tongue-Ripping Hell, I had nothing to say, because the King of Hell pointed out every bit of my past, leaving me speechless. So, this was not allowed! If I had known before I died that this was not allowed, I would never have dared to say it, and I certainly would not have done it.
This is the lack of spiritual education within the Buddha’s teachings. These are things I only realised when I listened to Practitioner Su’s lectures in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. When I was listening to Practitioner Su’s lectures in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, Practitioner Su said: "Selfishness and having a self" is creating the karma of hell. That truly shocked me. How could these words be exactly the same as what the King of Hell said? This was the reason why Mother Huang was sent to the Tongue-Ripping Hell. Although I thought of the public and the students, subconsciously I also thought of myself; I had selfishness, and that was not allowed. If one thinks of oneself first in everything, allocates one's own wealth first, and then sees how much surplus effort there is to do good deeds—and if there is no surplus, one stops—this involves weighing and gain and loss.
A truly pure practitioner of good deeds will save on their own expenses to help everyone and use all their time to give back to society. Just like Practitioner Su, who relinquished their home to focus on spreading the Pure Land Buddha’s teachings—this is truly admirable! Mother Huang can feel that if Practitioner Su were developing in the world, they would certainly be a very capable woman, with a kind heart, a good reputation, and a good family; but if it were only that, they would not be able to save so many beings.
Especially since they relinquished their home and followed Namo Amituofo to save so many souls from the spiritual realms and demon crowds. Saving demon crowds is no small matter! Without true attainment, how could one subdue demons? Fortunately, there is Namo Amituofo as a pillar of support.
The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is where Namo Amituofo resides. This must be made known to everyone; Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have helped beings so very much. Especially this time, Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have saved a large number of famous people from various countries in the world, or people who were considered good people or celebrities in the eyes of the world, from hell or the ghost realm.
I must pass on this experience so that everyone knows that the spirit never dies. I am Huang Ma Jialan; it was my body that died. At the time, my body was damaged and died due to colon cancer, but my soul did not die; instead, it went to hell. At that time, I was suffering in the Tongue-Ripping Hell, my tongue being ripped out, dying and waking up in pain, constantly cycling through life and death; it was truly very painful. Suddenly, I heard someone calling, "Huang Ma Jialan, Huang Ma Jialan, come up from hell." Then I heard the sound of a bell, and a golden light immediately pulled me out of hell and into the Western Land of Dharma Nature. I went from a dark, bloody hell filled with wailing into the bright, serene, and peaceful Western Land of Dharma Nature. I later learned that the golden light was Buddha-light—the Buddha-light of Namo Amituofo.
Just after coming up from hell, my body was still shaking, and I did not understand the situation. It was not until I slowly calmed down, looked around, and heard the chanting of "Namo Amituofo" and the sound of Practitioner Su’s lectures that I realised I had been saved.
Those who saved me were Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. This is something that only those with true attainment in their practice can do. In the past, there was no such person, but now, Practitioner Su has appeared. Many souls have been saved from hell by Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and I am one of them. I hope everyone can change their ways and their personality, and I appeal to people in the world to learn the Buddha’s teachings and Buddhist education.
Now, I am listening to Practitioner Su’s lectures in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and I understand more deeply the spiritual realms and the destination of the spirit after death. The laws of karma and cause and effect do not only exist in the world; the spirit world after death is the actual manifestation of these laws, and there are many subtle aspects that I did not do correctly while I was alive, which is why I ended up in hell. While I was alive, although I also learned the Buddha’s teachings and knew about the laws of karma and cause and effect, I did not know them so thoroughly.
I hope that although the wealth I once possessed in the world no longer belongs to me—I did not take a single cent with me—my family can help me do one thing: donate a portion to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. If it were not for Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, the current Huang Ma Jialan would still be wailing and suffering in the Tongue-Ripping Hell, with no one knowing and no one to save me. But now, I can stay here in peace, no longer falling into hell. Everywhere here is bright Buddha-light, which has brought peace to my heart.
I want to repay this kindness, and I hope my family can see these words. I helped many children when I was alive, and although I am now a ghost who has been rescued from hell, I am grateful that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre has the ability to let me speak about my experiences after death. My family, you can come here and see; I am right here. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is a purified magnetic field and a serene place. I hope my family can come here and talk to me. Most importantly, let everyone know that Namo Amituofo is so compassionate; Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have saved countless suffering souls. Namo Amituofo must be brought to the forefront.
The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre should be supported by everyone to promote Buddhist education, especially spiritual education, so that everyone knows that true Buddhist practice can lead to no ageing and no illness; dies, but the spirit does not, and one can be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Especially, it can provide healing for the body, mind, and spirit, because Namo Amituofo is the Great Physician who can help everyone heal their body, mind, and spirit problems.
Rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is my wish, but I remember what is said in the : "One cannot be reborn in that land with few good roots, , and causal conditions." I am now in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, it is not just a matter of wanting to go. When Practitioner Su returns to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, they can take all the beings in the Western Land of Dharma Nature back to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is truly great news.
At the same time, I can also have my family perform for me at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. According to my wishes, Practitioner Su will guide the deceased into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is also something that the Buddhist temple has always been doing.
To avoid falling into hell, one must know how to manage every thought and intention. Besides having good thoughts, one must also conform to the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. This is the only way to truly eliminate the fear of hell and reach the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
I hope to pass on the news of my being here to everyone, and I also hope that everyone can come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to learn the Buddha’s teachings and chant Buddha's name. Especially my family, you can help me by donating or supporting in your own names. When I was alive, I would help anyone I did not know as much as I could, let alone now that I have passed away; for the benefactor who saved me from hell, I must use the power I have now to help the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, so that Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su can save more people, especially by promoting Buddhist education.
Also, many children today are indeed harmed by the internet and computers, addicted to them and losing their health and normal lives. Their character has also changed, losing their simplicity and innocence, and they are even controlled by demon crowds. This is also a phenomenon I have seen among modern children in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. In the past, if I had heard about children being controlled by demons, I might not have understood it well, nor would I have known that the situation was so serious. But now that I see Practitioner Su performing Chao Du for so many demon crowds, and since I no longer have a body and my spirit has become more sensitive, I see that there is indeed the presence of demons on children, which makes me feel very pained.
I also wish to save children, but I must use a method different from the past; that is, by supporting the temple and inviting Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su to exercise their power to save the children. I hope my family and those I know can hear these words. You, too, can do your part, spreading this strength from ten to a hundred, and a hundred to a thousand, so that we may all work together to save the children. Practitioner Su is aware of all this and has made a vow to save the children. It is precisely because he has made this vow that the children have a chance to be saved. He has subdued many demon crowds, which has made them less likely to disturb people's hearts or control children, bringing much more stability to the human world. However, the propagation of the Buddha’s teachings requires Dharma protectors. The monastics, lay practitioners, and volunteers at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre are all very simple and sincere in their practice and in saving beings. Therefore, spreading the Dharma requires great support and great Dharma protectors to help bring the Buddha’s teachings to more people, especially children. If Huang Majialan were still alive, I would certainly take on this heavy burden, as it aligns closely with my own philosophy; I have also always been saving and helping children. It is just that I do not possess the skills that Practitioner Su has, and could only use worldly wealth to help. But this is only temporary; to truly save beings, one needs education, which is the fundamental, long-term, and effective method. This is my heartfelt wish, and I hope my family and those who know me can hear it. You should also do your part to help save the children, using the power of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su to help the human world and save the children. Come to Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, join the salvation team, support the temple, and work together to promote Buddhist education. We are now building the Namo Buddhist Hall to save the world, propagate the Buddha’s teachings, and establish Buddhist education. The Namo Amitabha Buddhist Hall is very dignified, which has given me great confidence in the future inheritance and propagation of the Buddha’s teachings. If I were still alive, I would have joined the ranks of those building the Namo Amitabha Buddhist Hall without hesitation. This is my vision and my boldness. But I no longer have a body, and I have only just realised this. I hope it is not too late and that my appeal will bring a response. If I had known about Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and come here to learn the Buddha’s teachings while I was alive, I would not have fallen into the hells. Because I believe that Practitioner Su would have taught us well. In particular, one must listen to Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks. Moreover, under the blessing of Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su has the ability to save spirits—that is, ghosts—to the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and after Chao Du, send them to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss according to the spirit’s wishes. This is something I greatly admire, and I also wish to enter the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. In fact, I knew about Namo Amituofo and the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss before. I have always been a strong supporter of the Pure Land teachings. When Venerable Master Chin Kung came to Singapore to propagate the Dharma, I was one of the Dharma protectors who listened to the teachings, learned, and provided support. I am very grateful to Venerable Master Chin Kung at this moment; you have taught such an excellent disciple who is able to awaken, and everyone calls him "Practitioner Su". Even Namo Amituofo, in the "Messages from Namo Amituofo’s Heart", refers to him as "Practitioner Su", which shows that his virtue and skills are recognised by Namo Amituofo. At Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, Huang Majialan has also discovered two very important matters. The first matter concerns the rebirth of Venerable Master Chin Kung. Everyone has always hoped that the Venerable Master would be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and assumed this to be a fact. But now, Huang Majialan has discovered in the Western Land of Dharma Nature that Venerable Master Chin Kung was actually saved from the hells by Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and brought to the Western Land of Dharma Nature at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. The Venerable Master’s spirit is now here. This is a serious and important matter. I hope everyone can accept it and be grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. Without their salvation, the venerable monk and master we all admire and respect would still be suffering in the hells today. This is the first important matter that Huang Majialan speaks of with deep sincerity. The second matter is something worth rejoicing: the great virtuous one of the Pure Land, known to everyone in the Pure Land Learning College and Pure Land societies, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju—the compiler of the Infinite Life Sutra, titled The Infinite Sutra (The Buddha Speaks the , Infinite Life, Adornment, Purity, Impartiality, and Sutra)—has descended from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss and is also at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This is something that should truly be announced with great fanfare to every member of the Pure Land societies. This is a true event, a fact that Huang Majialan, now as a spirit without a body, has seen in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. Here, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju looks after everyone and provides guidance to the fourfold assembly (monks, nuns, laymen, laywomen) practising the Pure Land teachings, as well as on the current situation of people in the world. Furthermore, in the Thrice Yearning Ceremonies, there are teachings from Namo Amituofo and Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, the content of which is extremely precious. These have now been compiled into books, titled "Collected Teachings of Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju", consisting of about twenty volumes. "Messages from Namo Amituofo’s Heart" has also been compiled into about thirteen volumes. If these could be seen by those in the Pure Land school, and even by people all over the world, it would certainly be of great help to everyone’s Pure Land learning, purification, and rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, as well as to the practice of the monastics. Huang Majialan has also been saved because of Practitioner Su’s vows and actions, which makes me admire Venerable Master Chin Kung even more. The Venerable Master’s sixty years of Dharma talks have produced such a disciple; it is truly worthwhile! He is the light of the Pure Land. Such a Pure Land and such deep understanding and salvation of the spirit have opened up a new world and space for the Pure Land. I am willing to strongly support and learn this kind of Buddha’s teachings. I did not have the opportunity to know Practitioner Su and learn from him while I was alive; now, besides being grateful to him, I am even more willing to learn and support him as a "spirit". Pure Land spiritual education, as well as methods for rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss without falling into the hells, can be learned through the Buddhist education at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks are extremely important and can save many people from falling into the hells. Especially now, with many children addicted to the internet, I only now realise that they are being controlled by demon crowds. I see Practitioner Su saving many demon crowds every day; these demon crowds control people in the world, making it impossible for parents to manage their children. Those controlled by demon crowds cannot enter the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. The above is what I, Huang Majialan, have seen and heard in the "Western Land of Dharma Nature", as well as my sincere expectations and appeals. I hope my family and those who know me can see and read these words from my heart. They can help you learn the Pure Land teachings, avoid falling into the hells, be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and support Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This not only helps yourself and your family, but also helps all beings, including spirit realm beings, so that everyone may be a beneficiary. More importantly, it is also to bring Namo Amituofo to the forefront, so that those in the Pure Land school and people of the world can know that Namo Amituofo is residing here at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This is the ray of hope for the Pure Land, and the most powerful guarantee and hope for everyone to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Everyone must save themselves; by coming here, you can receive the salvation of Namo Amituofo. Once again, I am grateful to Namo Amituofo, and grateful to Practitioner Su and every monastic, lay practitioner, and virtuous one at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
