Make good use of this body, practise diligently, do not be lax, be fiercely diligent, and advance towards your goal.
How does one make good use of this body?
One must understand the difference between the real and the illusory, not be deluded by the illusory,
act according to what is real and unfeigned,
act according to the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way,
so that one may find one's true self / self-nature.
What is real?
Being able to observe the and maintain Discipline, which is helpful to one's practice, is real.
Having meditative concentration, not being affected or fluctuated by external interference, is real.
Having Wisdom (Prajna), not being deluded by emotion, being able to walk the righteous path, and being diligent in practice is real.
Changing one's personality traits, knowing one's faults and being able to correct them, stopping faults, and not committing them again is real.
If there is regression in practice, and one is deluded by the world and acts according to worldly ways, then it is not real.
What is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way?
The wisdom of our ancestors, the ethics and morality counselled and passed down to future generations, is real.
Ethics and Morality are real; they will not change due to time or environment.
No matter how the era progresses, the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way will not change.
Therefore, people should have a standard in their hearts,
so they will not deviate from the righteous path due to technological civilisation. Otherwise, there will be no progress in practice,
and one will suffer the evil consequences of creating negative causes within the laws of and cause and effect.
Having ego-attachment and self-views, and acting according to the three karmas of Body, Speech, and Mind based on ,
is to deviate from the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.
The Five Precepts and Ten Good Deeds, and the Six Paramitas, are the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.
If one commits the five evils, the five grave offences, and the ten evil deeds, one is deviating from the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way,
and will suffer evil consequences.
Following the Infinite Life Sutra (The Buddha Speaks the , Infinite Life, Adornment, Purity, Impartiality, and Sutra),
from the thirty-third to the thirty-sixth chapters, is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.
What should be done, one should do; what should not be done, one should take as a warning.
Making good use of this body to engage in True Cultivation and find one's true self / self-nature,
is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way; it is real.
