We arrive in this world with nothing, and we depart with nothing. At our core, we are spirits without a body. The relationships we form—our parents, our families, and our social connections—are all external conditions that we encounter during our time here. They are not inherent to our original, true self. It is vital to understand that everything we experience in this life is temporary; it is not something that belongs to us eternally.
Why, then, do we possess a physical body? It is a tool provided to us to help our spirit grow and to elevate our spiritual quality. This is the most important task of a human life. We must not use this body to create . When we become overly attached to our or caught up in complex emotional relationships, we create significant obstacles that hinder our spiritual growth. Instead of using our time to cultivate wisdom, we often allow our bodies to become instruments for creating negative karma.
We must be vigilant against the traps that keep us bound to the cycle of rebirth. These traps manifest in many ways, leading our spirits to rise and fall in a sea of suffering. We must guard against:
These attachments lead to sins that keep us trapped in the cycle of rebirth, causing us to suffer endlessly. When a glimmer of hope appears, you must grasp it firmly and without hesitation.
