The Boundless Dharma Realm Awaits Salvation; Practitioner Su Realises and Makes the Ultimate Vow
To live a life without regrets is to make a firm, unwavering vow to pursue spiritual practice and escape the cycle of rebirth. We must no longer allow ourselves to drift aimlessly through the six realms of existence, for this cycle has no end. When we truly awaken to the suffering of this world—the inescapable reality of birth, aging, sickness, and death—we realise that we have no control over our own destiny. It is at this moment of clarity that we should resolve to follow the path of the great sages, much like , who renounced the comforts of home and desire to dedicate his life to the .
We must learn to use the false to cultivate the true. This requires a spirit of fierce, diligent practice that never wavers. In this journey, we must set aside our ego and understand that everything we do is for the sake of all beings. We are but one among many, and in serving others, we are ultimately serving our own true nature. By committing ourselves to the continuous process of purifying , heart, and spirit, we allow our original, innate nature to manifest once more.
To have no regrets means to see through the illusions of this world and be willing to let go of . When we sacrifice our own attachments for the benefit of others, we are truly acting for our own liberation. Through this selfless dedication, countless beings within us—our and ancestors—can be saved. Those with whom we share a karmic affinity will also find the path to liberation, and together, we shall all be reborn in the of Ultimate Bliss.
Living without regrets means strictly following the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. We must refrain from all evil and diligently practise all forms of goodness. By taking on the suffering of others, we ensure that they too may be saved, and our own spirits will rise without fear. The most vital practice is to chant the name of all the way, overcoming every obstacle we encounter in this foreign land. The sacred name of Namo Amituofo is a diamond seed; once it enters the ear, it becomes a permanent seed of the Way. This is the essence of spreading the Dharma in the Pure Land school. No matter how many eons or lifetimes have passed, there will always come a time when all beings are rescued from their suffering.
Finally, to have no regrets is to recognise the immense fortune of encountering Namo Amituofo, who truly abides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. We must engage in diligent visualisation, learn the art of , and actively work to save all beings. Let us invite the Buddha to remain in this world to turn the wheel of the Dharma, so that we may save the world and guide all beings to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
