The true preciousness of this human body lies in a reality that most people never perceive. Within this physical form, there exist countless cells and an infinite number of sentient beings. These beings include your , attached spirits, and various demon crowds. They are all beings with whom your true self has shared a beginningless and endless history of karmic connections across countless lifetimes. In previous incarnations, they may have appeared as fellow humans, beings from the six realms of existence, or even entities from other spaces and distant star systems. Throughout these vast cycles of time, you have interacted with them in myriad ways, forming deep and complex relationships that persist to this day.
In this current life, because you possess this physical body, these beings are able to gather within you. They reside inside your body, each according to their own specific and in various forms. Just as there are infinite spaces within the universe, there are infinite spaces within your own body. Consequently, the number of beings dwelling within you is truly beyond calculation.
The Hidden Inhabitants Within
These beings exist in many layers of your physical and energetic reality. They reside within your:
Physical cells and internal organs
Five internal organs and six viscera
Bloodstream and circulatory system
Four limbs and skeletal structure
Nervous system
They exist within the very elements of earth, water, fire, and wind that compose your physical form. Furthermore, these beings exist in a spiritual state within the gaps and empty spaces of your body. They even exist in a state of overlap with your physical cells, organs, and nerves, inhabiting the complex, multi-layered dimensions that constitute your being.
The Roots of Suffering and Disease
The state of your physical health and mental well-being is deeply tied to the karmic conditions between your true self and these beings. As the karmic process unfolds, these beings within your body influence your physical and mental state. When their karmic debts manifest, they can cause your body to age prematurely, trigger the onset of various illnesses, or lead to mental health struggles. These are the manifestations of the suffering of old age and sickness, which eventually lead every human life toward the inevitable suffering of death.

This provides them with the opportunity to resolve their grievances with you, to receive , or to be guided by the Buddha-light to be reborn in the Western Land of Dharma Nature or the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This is how they are enabled to leave suffering behind and find the light of .
The Ultimate Goal of Practice
If these beings are able to leave the three evil realms, escape the cycle of rebirth, and transcend the suffering of life and death, then the karmic debts you have accumulated over countless lifetimes will be resolved. They will no longer feel the need to seek repayment, nor will they continue the cycle of seeking revenge or repaying kindness through further entanglement. This is what it means to not waste this human life. It is the result of encountering the Pure Land path, meeting Namo Amituofo, and benefiting from the magnificent Dharma affinity with your teachers and Practitioner Su.
Most importantly, once you have achieved your own liberation, you will not only be able to actively save the countless beings within your own body, but you will also be empowered to save the infinite beings outside of you—those with whom you have karmic affinity, including your family members and loved ones from both the past and the present. Together, you can all leave behind the suffering of samsara, be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and attain Buddhahood. Namo Amituofo.
