The Purest Path Through the World
When Buddhas and Bodhisattvas walk in this world, they are like one who passes through a garden of a hundred flowers without a single leaf clinging to their robes. They remain entirely unstained by any defilement, and their mission to save beings is not a fleeting task; it is a vow that spans throughout your many lives.
Walking through the Five Turbidities and Evil World, beings are burdened by heavy spiritual obstacles. They possess rigid attachments and subjective views. Their minds are constantly clouded by delusion, discrimination, and attachment. Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, patriarchs, and venerable masters, and those who have realised their true nature possess great . Because their spiritual foundations are now fully matured, they manifest in this world to offer guidance.
The Great Difficulty of Saving Human Beings
They see the suffering of beings and, knowing where their problems lie, they perform the work of saving and teaching them. Yet, they are often met with various forms of doubt and slander. Even when they exert every ounce of their strength to rescue others, under the influence of the stubborn and difficult-to-change personal ego and selfishness of beings, and amidst the interference of demon crowds, the progress of transformation is often limited.
This leads those who save and teach to sigh: "It is easy to save beings in the spiritual realms, but it is difficult to save those in the human world." This is the truth, yet Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will not abandon a single person; they will save whoever they can. In the process of saving and teaching, they observe the capacity of each person, speaking, acting, and teaching according to what is needed. However, whether a person truly accepts this teaching and is able to change their ways depends entirely on their own karmic fortune.
The Unmoved Mind Amidst the Storm
To pass through a garden of a hundred flowers without a single leaf touching means to perform the work of saving the world and teaching beings with an unmoved mind. In the process of subduing demon crowds, the practitioner may take on the suffering of beings in their own physical body. They may endure attacks, pain, and injury from the magic of demons, yet their heart remains completely unmoved, without a single complaint.
Through the Buddha's , they subdue countless demon crowds and save immeasurable and boundless old demons and ancient demons. This is the highest wisdom for those who practise the Buddha’s teachings.
Transcending the
To pass through a garden of a hundred flowers without a single leaf touching also means to remain untainted by the desire for wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep. It means cutting off greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance, and doubt, and remaining unswayed by the temptation of fame and profit. One must not seek personal gain at the expense of the practice of the fourfold assembly in the bodhimanda. Everything must be conducted according to the laws of and cause and effect.
A true practitioner does not lose sight of their pure practice for the sake of small, immediate benefits. Only then can they fulfil the great vow of chanting Namo Amituofo to achieve rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss and become a Buddha. The fourfold assembly must clearly understand this right path.
