Priceless

Teachings by Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju:

The heart is priceless; wealth cannot buy it.

The heart can manifest infinitely; the six realms of rebirth and the Four Sacred Realms are all manifested by the heart.

The heart can also manifest the true emptiness, which is the original heart of the true self, possessed by every sentient being.

The true self is unique,

regardless of time or space, it is neither born nor destroyed, neither defiled nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing.

The spirit is priceless; there is only this one spirit, and no two are the same.

The spirit cannot be touched; it cannot be seen by the physical eyes of ordinary people, but those with open eyes can see it,

yet depending on the degree to which their eyes are open, there will be differences in the depth of the spatial levels seen

and the clarity of the spirit.

The body is priceless; although it is a karmic retribution body, one can engage in True Cultivation.

Using this physical body of an ordinary person, one can rediscover the priceless true nature and true self; therefore, the body is priceless.

This body is composed of the four great elements: earth, water, fire, and wind,

the four great elements are never exactly the same,

because the countless cells contained within the individual and the countless sentient beings with karmic affinity within the body are different.

This body will eventually perish, but when the true self leaves the body, the true self within the spirit remains completely undamaged.

The true self is priceless

The Alaya consciousness follows the spirit as it revolves within the six realms,

allowing the spirit to undergo purification, continuously elevating the spirit until one becomes an awakened being,

this is the purpose of practice.

Those who have realised their true nature can be self-mastering, are not controlled by reincarnation, and no longer drift in the ocean of karma.

Goodness, compassion, and Wisdom are priceless, manifesting within the individual's character.

They can be nurtured and cultivated, but they cannot be substituted or replaced,

they are in sync with the true self and are also inherently present within the true self.

Chanting the Buddha's name is priceless; an individual's chanting cannot be performed by others.

Each person bears their own laws of karma and cause and effect; each person receives the benefits of their own chanting.

Chant one Buddha's name to the end,

diligently chant the Buddha's name without interruption, and eventually, through purification, you will rediscover your true self.
