Namo Amituofo. I, Lay Practitioner Su Xinyu, offer my most sincere gratitude to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for their boundless . Having lived for so long, I have never felt such a profound sense of gratitude rising from within my own heart, nor have I ever expressed it so clearly with my own voice. My character has undergone a complete transformation; it has been refined again and again. It was only after receiving the nourishment of the Buddha's teachings in the Western Land of Nature that I realised how poorly I had acted in the past, which led to the immense suffering I endured while I had to suffer retribution in hell.
The Gift of Filial Piety
Now that I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, my only desire is to bow before the Buddha and express my deepest thanks. I do not wish to recall the past, nor do I want to speak of it again, for the memories are far too painful. I am deeply grateful to my child for performing the on my behalf. If you had not encountered the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre—this precious, sacred land of the Buddha—I fear that I, your mother, would still be trapped in the depths of hell, suffering for an unknown duration. Thirty-one years have passed since I left the human world, and when I reflect upon this, it truly feels inconceivable. I cherish this opportunity to be liberated from the six realms of rebirth, and I understand that such a chance is not easily attained.
A Rare Opportunity for All Sentient Beings
To be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss today alongside my husband, who has also passed, is a great blessing. It is the greatest gift bestowed upon us by the filial heart of our child. This gift is something that is difficult to encounter in millions of years; it is truly priceless and cannot be purchased with any amount of wealth. However, because the Buddha is present, everyone has the opportunity to be saved. This is a blessing for all people throughout the world.
I feel truly fortunate for everyone, especially for the many Chinese people whom Practitioner Su is currently working so diligently to save. As I watched group after group of Chinese sentient beings arrive in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, my heart was filled with immense . I thought to myself how wonderful it is that so many souls have been saved, and that so many of my fellow countrymen have been rescued. Everyone sat upon their lotus flowers, radiant and joyful, looking completely different from how they appeared during their lives in the human world. Each person came from a different space of suffering, yet their hearts were filled with such Dharma-joy. None of them had ever imagined that they would possess such great to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I am overjoyed for them, and I am equally happy for my own current circumstances.
The Illusory Nature of the Human World
Now, I wish to share a few words with my child and my family who remain in the human world: please, do not believe that everything occurring in this human world is real. I tell you, once your physical body dies, the world of the spirit is vastly different. Everything related to the physical body is temporary, fleeting, and void. Therefore, do not hold onto the good or the bad experiences of this life. Instead, focus on these essential practices:
- Be a truly good person in your daily life.
- Diligently learn the Buddha's teachings and cultivate your skills.
- Realise that this is the true value that a human body should manifest.
I see this very clearly now because I have experienced such profound suffering. Upon arriving in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I can see the cycle of my many lives, and I have had a sudden, profound : everything has a cause and an effect, and no one can escape the consequences of their actions.
The Path of Total Surrender
This is why I now possess such a heart of gratitude, and why I wish to entrust my entire being to the Buddha. From this moment forward, I will simply follow the Buddha; I will no longer have my own personal attachments or opinions. Previously, I did not even know that I had a stubborn personality, nor did I understand the difference between right and wrong. Without the education provided by the Buddha's teachings, I believe very few people can distinguish true black from white, or true right from wrong. This is because everything taught by the Buddha is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. This is what I heard Practitioner Su teaching every day in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. I heard it clearly, and every day I reflected on what I had done wrong and what thoughts I still needed to improve.
However, here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I believe I no longer need to exert such effort. It is enough to simply keep my mind clear and fill it with the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo". There is truly nothing else to think about, and no need to stir up unnecessary thoughts. Here, everything happens naturally; there is no need for force or deliberate effort. Naturally, one remains immersed in the Holy Name, feeling light, at ease, and without any burdens. This is the gift that Namo Amituofo, who has realised one's true nature and attained Buddhahood, has brought to everyone by establishing the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I sincerely offer my gratitude for the Buddha's compassion and for the compassion of Practitioner Su.
