Teachings from Namo Amituofo:
In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, the Bodhimanda is adorned with countless magnificent trees. These trees serve as a sacred space for the education of all beings, guiding them toward the path of Buddhahood. In truth, the entire Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a Bodhimanda for attaining Buddhahood, for it is entirely manifested from the true nature of Namo Amituofo.
The Magnificent Bodhimanda of the West
Within this realm, there are exquisite jewel nets woven from a myriad of precious gems. You may ask, where can these nets be found? They are present throughout the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. These nets drape gracefully over the Bodhi trees, reflecting hundreds of thousands of colours that shine and shimmer in mutual brilliance. They emit boundless light, illuminating the infinite reaches of the universe and revealing the profound dignity of the Western Bodhimanda.
The Symphony of the
Within this sacred Bodhimanda, a gentle breeze constantly stirs the branches and leaves. As the foliage sways, it produces a subtle, melodic sound that sings the wonders of the Dharma. This sound is clear, flowing, and deeply moving; it is subtle, harmonious, and elegant. It permeates the entire Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, allowing all who hear it to attain a pure heart and reach a state of profound .
This supreme and beautiful Western Bodhimanda was constructed through the perfect fulfilment of the majestic power and the great vows of Namo Amituofo.
A Sanctuary of Awakening in the Human World
In the human world, there also exists a Bodhimanda for realising one's true nature and attaining Buddhahood. This is the place where Namo Amituofo truly abides: the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, located in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. This centre is a place where the Buddha-light shines everywhere, creating an environment that is pure, beautiful, bright, and luminous. Within this space, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, Practitioner Su, and the fourfold assembly of disciples reside together in harmony.
The sound of the Buddha-name, Namo Amituofo, flows continuously throughout the temple—in the Buddha hall, the dining hall, the living quarters, and along the paths. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre was once a place of withered grass and barren land. Through dedicated development and construction, every tree, every blade of grass, every brick, every tile, every table, every chair, and every bowl and pair of chopsticks has been carefully prepared.
The Manifestation of and Vow
Even the statues and decorations within the Namo Buddhist Hall, as well as the daily necessities of the temple, have been provided for by Practitioner Su. Under the constant of Namo Amituofo, Practitioner Su has used a heart of compassion and a vow identical to that of the Buddha to prepare everything for the benefit of the assembly. This ensures that all beings are well-provided for, that their practice remains unobstructed, and that they may soon realise their true nature and attain Buddhahood.
Living with the Buddha
I encourage you to have faith in the Buddha. Keep the Buddha in your heart, keep the Buddha in your speech, keep the Buddha in your actions, and let your eyes perceive the Buddha in all things. When you do this, you will find that every place you go becomes an opportunity to attain Buddhahood.
