The Golden Ground of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss
Words of Namo Amituofo
Recorded on April 25, 2026
Teachings from Namo Amituofo, recorded and transcribed by Namo Amituofo’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
On the twenty-fifth of April, 2026, Namo Amituofo offered these profound teachings regarding the nature of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Luminous Foundation of Bliss
In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, the very earth upon which one walks is described as being made of gold. This is not merely a physical description, but a reflection of the compassionate intent of Namo Amituofo. He understands deeply that sentient beings in the cycle of rebirth often possess a natural affinity for precious things. Gold, being a symbol of great value and beauty, brings a sense of and comfort to the heart when it is beheld.
Therefore, when Namo Amituofo constructed the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, He manifested the ground as a vast expanse of pure, radiant gold. This golden earth is not only beautiful but also luminous and clear, reflecting the purity of the environment. As beings of the Western Land walk upon this ground, the sight of its brilliance serves to uplift their spirits, ensuring that their hearts remain filled with joy and free from the heavy burdens of the world they have left behind.
A Landscape of Infinite Treasures
The beauty of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss extends far beyond the golden ground. It is a realm adorned with the Seven Treasures, which exist in perfect harmony. These treasures include:
- Pure Gold: Representing the stability and unchanging nature of the .
- White Silver: Symbolising the clarity and purity of the mind.
- Lapis Lazuli: Reflecting the vastness of the sky and the depth of wisdom.
- Crystal: Representing the transparency and unobstructed nature of the true self.
- Amber: Signifying the warmth and vitality of life.
- Beautiful Jade: Representing the preciousness of the Buddha-nature within all beings.
- Agate: Symbolising the diversity and richness of the teachings.
These Seven Treasures intertwine as roots, trunks, branches, leaves, flowers, and fruits, creating a living landscape of light and colour. Furthermore, the land is filled with countless other treasures, such as giant clams, pearls, and exquisite necklaces. In this realm, whatever a being wishes to see or experience, it manifests before them instantly, fulfilling their every need and desire.
The Compassionate Intent of the Buddha
Why does Namo Amituofo provide such a magnificent environment? The answer lies in His infinite . When a Buddha seeks to save beings, He first meets them where they are. By fulfilling the wishes and preferences of sentient beings, He creates a sense of peace and security. Once the heart is settled and joyful, it becomes much easier to lead these beings into the profound wisdom of the Buddha.
Namo Amituofo does not seek any return for His efforts. His only wish is that all beings may leave suffering and gain happiness, and that they may, as quickly as possible, rediscover their original, true self. In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, every aspect of the environment is designed to help beings remain free from worry, anxiety, and distress. When one’s heart is satisfied and one’s wishes are fulfilled, the mind becomes calm and receptive.
The Path to Ultimate
In such a supportive and pure environment, one can practise with total ease. Whether one chooses to practise diligently or simply dwell in the peace of the surroundings, the environment itself acts as a catalyst for spiritual growth. It assists every being in the Western Land to make steady progress on their path of practice.
The speed at which one attains Buddhahood—whether it is fast or slow, gradual or swift—depends entirely on the heart and the natural inclination of the practitioner. However, one thing is certain: for those who have reached the Western Land, the attainment of supreme, perfect awakening is guaranteed. The golden ground of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a manifestation of the light flowing from the true self of Namo Amituofo. It perfectly demonstrates His willingness to follow the hearts and intentions of all beings, providing the most stable and serene foundation upon which they may practise until they reach the final goal of Buddhahood.
