The Pure Land Dharma is the supreme path for all practitioners. Just as clear water washes away the dirt of the world, the Dharma cleanses the impurities of our lives. You must keep your body pure and not allow external disturbances to disrupt your inner peace. When your heart is pure, your awareness becomes sharp and clear, allowing your true self to manifest.
When your spirit is pure, your three hun souls and seven po souls remain stable and protected. You must move away from being drowsy and instead enter into a state of diligent practice.
You must put in the work to change your ways. The 'self,' personal ego, and selfishness, along with deep-seated habits, must not be allowed to remain within you. If you are stubborn and insist on your own views, you must change. You must learn to listen to kind words and good advice from others.
When you have made a mistake, you must be the first to admit it. Do not offer excuses or try to justify your actions, as this only hinders your progress. You must protect your spirit and soul while they reside within your body, and you must not follow the crowd into illusory realms.
These illusory realms are false; they are designed to deceive your true self. You must firmly refuse to be swayed by these external conditions. Maintain purity in your thoughts, your body, and your heart. Rely entirely on the Buddha-name, , to achieve pure goodness.
When you chant until you reach the state of no-thought and no-mind, you will see your true nature—the purest of the pure.
