The Foundation of True Practice
The path of the Buddha is not merely a series of rituals; it is a profound journey that begins and ends within the depths of your own heart. To practise the effectively, you must learn how to apply these methods with sincerity and precision. When you walk the path with integrity, act with righteousness, and apply the teachings correctly, you will naturally receive the true benefits of the Dharma. However, if you use the wrong methods, you will fail to see the reality of the universe. You may develop a distorted view, follow a path of error, or head in the wrong direction entirely. This is no longer the study of the Buddha’s teachings; rather, it is the study of the demonic path, which creates the heavy that leads to the hells.
The Peril of the Misguided Path
This is the reason why there is a saying that the gates of hell are often crowded with monastics. It is a sobering truth that many who reside in the Demon Realm were once members of the monastic community. They did not fall into such states because of a lack of knowledge, but because of the internal poisons they failed to clear from their hearts:
- Jealousy: A corrosive emotion that prevents one from rejoicing in the virtues of others.
- Dissatisfaction: A constant state of discontent that blinds one to the of the present moment.
- Resentment: A deep-seated bitterness that clouds the mind and hardens the spirit.
- Arrogance: The pride that places above the Truth, leading one away from the righteous path.
Because of these internal obstacles, it is absolutely vital to listen to the sutras and hear the Dharma. This practice provides the guidance necessary to cultivate correct views, ensuring that you remain on the righteous path and do not deviate into confusion.
The Rare Gift of Awakened Guidance
Those who teach the Dharma carry a heavy responsibility. They are the guides who lead the masses—including both human beings and the countless invisible beings of the spirit realms—toward liberation. If you are fortunate enough to hear the teachings directly from the Buddha or from those who have realised their true nature, you have encountered something truly magnificent. Such an opportunity is rare and precious, something that can be met but not sought after.
Those who have reached are themselves the ones who have transcended the cycle of birth and death. They have realised the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. When they share the reality of existence with you, there is no greater blessing. Because they embody the Truth and the Dharma itself, every word they speak is a subtle Dharma. They do not need to prepare materials or content before they teach; they speak according to the needs of the moment, using the Dharma with perfect, spontaneous ease. This is the true freedom of the Awakened.
The Boundless Scope of the
Those who have realised their true nature are the ones who truly understand the Buddha’s teachings. They are the practitioners of the Truth and the Right Way. Because they are clear in their hearts, they can remain calm and steady, capable of resolving any situation with wisdom. The Dharma is not separate from your daily life; in every action and every method, there is a subtle Dharma waiting to be realised.
Through the Awakening and the Dharma Body performed by Practitioner Su, many previously unknown truths have been revealed. This work of salvation extends far beyond the human realm, reaching into the vastness of the Dharma realm of emptiness, the Milky Way, the Demon Realm, the celestial beings, the Four Sages, and all earthly creatures. This work directly benefits infinite beings, with the fourfold assembly and the countless spirits residing in the Buddha-land of Practitioner Su being the primary recipients of this great fortune.
In truth, the reality of the universe is deeper and more expansive than we can imagine, stretching out without boundaries. Practitioner Su, using his Dharma Body, discovers and confirms these truths through his exploration. Based on this reality, he uses his wisdom to directly save beings, helping them find rebirth in the , and even performing tasks such as calling for rain or resolving great disasters. This is the path that the fourfold assembly must learn to follow. Namo Amituofo.
