The Wailing of the Wind

During the Third Session of the , a mournful and piercing sound was heard carried upon the wind. It was a sound of profound sorrow, echoing through the air as if the very atmosphere were weeping. When the space was opened to communicate with these unseen beings, the source of this lamentation became clear. The spirits within the wind spoke of their deep, lingering anguish. They explained that they were the ghosts of the wind, their hearts heavy with the burdens of past grievances and unresolved pain. They had been trapped by the echoes of their own suffering, unable to find peace or release. They revealed that they had discovered their former tormentors had now attained a human body and were present in this very location. Driven by the weight of their past, they had come upon the wind, seeking to settle old debts and find justice for the wrongs they had endured.

The Compassionate Intervention

Practitioner Su, witnessing this scene with profound , immediately realised the urgency of their plight. He spoke with a voice of gentle authority, urging those present to act without delay. He instructed that memorial tablets be written immediately to facilitate the of these suffering beings. He emphasised that we must not allow these sentient beings to remain in such agony any longer. Following his guidance, memorial tablets were prepared for the countless spirits residing within the wind. Practitioner Su then chanted the names on the tablets and struck the great bell, a sound that resonated through the Realm. Through this sacred act, he helped these beings restore their purity, even offering compensation to resolve their deep-seated hatred. By the grace of Namo Amituofo, they were guided towards the Western Land of Dharma Nature, where they could finally leave suffering behind and behold the light of the Buddha.

The Endless Cycle of Samsara

The wind is filled with countless beings who have lost their way in the cycle of rebirth. Many of these spirits once possessed a human body, but due to the complex workings of and the causes and effects, they committed various unwholesome acts. As a result, they lost their precious human form. Some passed away and became spirits trapped in different dimensions, while others were reborn into the realm of earthly creatures. They may now exist within the mountains, rivers, or as animals, insects, or even as the very blades of grass and trees that surround us. Some have become mere molecules in the wind or water, or exist within the grains of dust and sand. Others have drifted into the vast blue sky, becoming one with the clouds. These spirits, once trapped in these dimensions, often find it difficult to escape for centuries, millennia, or even longer. Who among us truly knows the plight of these spirits wandering in the vastness of space? Although they all possess the true self, it remains dormant, obscured by layers of delusion and karmic veils. When will their true self be revealed? The time remains uncertain and far off.

The Sanctuary of Hsiang Kuang

At this very moment, the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, stands as a beacon of hope. Because Namo Amituofo is residing here, the Centre serves as a sanctuary where the light of the Buddha shines brightly. All sentient beings throughout the Ten Directions of the Dharma Realm, including the countless beings within the wind and upon the earth, can receive the illumination of this Buddha-light. They are also able to receive the deliverance of the . Hsiang Kuang has already saved an immeasurable number of beings, yet there are still countless others waiting to be rescued. Whether the wind is still or blowing gently, there are always beings present within it, drifting through the air. Sentient beings are everywhere, and they are known to us as ghosts or spirits. They yearn to be saved so that they may leave suffering behind and find true happiness. The Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is dedicated to fulfilling these wishes, for this is the path of compassion that we walk. Namo Amituofo.
