Awakening is not a gift that descends from the heavens; it is the profound result of diligent and sustained spiritual practice. It requires a dedicated commitment to remove defilements and attain purity, until one’s heart becomes pure and unstained, free from even the slightest trace of attachment. When this state is achieved, the eight consciousnesses are transformed into wisdom. The , which once stored the seeds of our past actions, is transformed into the Great Perfect Mirror Wisdom. In this state, the heart is empty, allowing one to see their true self. The light of this true self then arises like the wisdom of Prajna.
This is the empty nature of the true self. While it may appear to be empty, it is in fact a state that encompasses all things. Within this purity, this emptiness, and this void, all qualities are inherently complete. It is capable of manifesting all phenomena. It is like the wisdom of Prajna, which is characterized by a state of not knowing, yet being capable of knowing everything. When the time is right, one can know all things completely. The world of emptiness is, therefore, the world of true freedom and ease.
Those who have realised their true nature possess a body, yet their body, mind, and spirit are free from worry and filled with coolness. They are free from vexations and live in a state of natural ease. In this state, the functions of the : eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind, can operate naturally and without obstruction.
In this polluted world, our Six Sense Organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind, are constantly interacting with : sights, sounds, smells, tastes, touch, and thoughts. When these organs engage with the Six Dusts, they enter the and create . People’s sense organs are in a state of constant operation, interacting with the external world and creating karma without pause. This leads to a cycle of good karma resulting in good rewards, and negative karma resulting in negative consequences. Trapped within the laws of and the causes and effects, we lose our ability to act with true autonomy and continue to drift endlessly through the cycle of rebirth.
We invite you to chant Namo Amituofo. While chanting still involves the use of thoughts, this specific thought is a pure thought. By creating pure causes, one can attain pure results. Chanting Namo Amituofo is the cause, and becoming a Buddha is the result. We encourage you to chant Namo Amituofo so that every single thought becomes pure. Continue to chant until you reach a state where there is no good and no evil, no discriminations, no attachments, and no sense of high or low. Chant until your Six Sense Organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind, are completely purified.
If the dusts and environments encountered by your Six Sense Organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind, can all be transformed into goodness and purity, you will naturally be able to give rise to all and achieve the fruit of Bodhi. When the manifestations encountered by these organs are naturally pure and good, you have achieved the fruit of Bodhi. This is the moment of Awakening, the moment when your spiritual achievements are complete. Namo Amituofo.
