The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a world of the spirit. The human body will decay, yet the spirit is neither born nor destroyed. Namo Amituofo created the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss; as long as you abide by the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, you can all immigrate to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a world of the spirit, where all the inhabitants wear smiles, are calm and composed, and possess gentle countenances. A faint, delicate fragrance drifts through the air, and Mandarava flowers drift down from the sky like a rain of flowers, cleansing the disturbances within the heart and adding a sense of dignity and to the original purity and beauty.
Whatever you wish to eat, a hundred flavours of food will appear before you; every taste is available. There is no need to spend money on ingredients or to cook; the flavours you desire appear directly before you. Whatever beverage you wish to drink is available; whatever you can imagine can manifest before your eyes. In particular, there is the Water of Eight Virtues—sweet, nourishing, and available to drink as you please, without any cost. This is a world of incomparable dignity where all wishes are fulfilled.
Regarding your living environment, whatever house you wish to live in will appear before you. Whether it is a Japanese-style flat-roofed house, a Chinese-style courtyard house, or a detached villa, all can be manifested as you wish.
In this world of incomparable spiritual dignity, there is no need for transportation; you arrive wherever you wish simply by thinking of it. Wherever you wish to go, you arrive the moment the thought arises. There is no need for any auxiliary transport, and you may go anywhere as you please without any obstacles.
This world of incomparable spiritual dignity is the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, established by Namo Amituofo after fulfilling each of His Forty-eight Great Vows. Here, the ground is paved with gold, and there are Seven-Jewel Ponds and the Water of Eight Virtues. When you wish to enter the Water of Eight Virtues, the temperature, depth, and flow rate are all as you desire. Whether it is cold, warm, or hot water, and whether it reaches your feet, knees, waist, or neck, the flow can be fast or slow, adjustable according to your thoughts.
The bottom of the Seven-Jewel Ponds is covered with golden sand, reflecting a bright Buddha-light across the surface of the pond. This is the infinite light of Namo Amituofo’s body, radiating naturally and without interruption, twenty-four hours a day, out of His great . It will even provide you with the environment you like and desire, according to your personal wishes. This magnificent new world is a world of the spirit.
When people’s bodies decay, their spirits must proceed to the next destination. If, while alive, you can believe in Namo Amituofo, make a vow to chant the Buddha’s name to enter the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss He has built, and before passing away, sincerely chant the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo" once or ten times, or keep the Buddha’s name in your mind continuously, you can call upon Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo can hear the call of any person in the Ten Directions of the Realm who chants the Buddha’s name as they are about to pass away, amidst the sounds of the Holy Name "Namo Amituofo". There is then the opportunity to receive Namo Amituofo’s compassionate manifestation, as He leads the deceased into the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
