The Commitment to Walk Together

My dear students, at At Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary, if you are truly willing to let go of worldly emotion and attachments to enter the Buddha's path, and if you are determined to become those who follow the Buddha’s every action, then I, your Teacher, will be right by your side to walk alongside you on this journey.

The Buddha's path is clear and distinct. However, in this era of the Dharma-ending age, it is often difficult to distinguish between the Buddha's path and the demon path. Once you inadvertently step onto the demon path, it becomes incredibly difficult to free yourself, and you may remain trapped within the cycle of rebirth for countless kalpas.

The Threefold Support

At this very moment, here at At Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary, you are receiving immense support to help you navigate these dangers:

• Namo Amituofo provides the Buddha-name and the Buddha-light to help you eliminate demonic thoughts and demonic actions.
• Practitioner Su engages in Buddha-actions, physically taking on the suffering of sentient beings to help subdue demonic enemies.
• I, your Teacher, provide these teachings to accompany you on your journey, helping you to discern and identify the nature of demonic influences.

Defining the Demonic

You may ask, what exactly is a demon? In the context of your practice, the demonic refers to the ego. It is the manifestation of selfishness, the pursuit of personal gain, and the presence of a rigid, stubborn personality. It is the tendency to harm others to secure one's own interests, or the act of identifying the weaknesses of others and using one's own perceived strengths to attack those vulnerabilities. These are the traits that lead one away from the light of the Buddha.

Constant Guidance and Support

Through our dialogue, you will come to understand that I am always here to provide guidance and reminders regarding the proper conduct and methods required for your practice and for your eventual rebirth in the Western Pure Land. 24/7, I am here to accompany the students of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. I am here to correct any improper words or deeds that may arise in your daily life.

Whenever you encounter a bottleneck or an obstacle in your practice, do not lose heart. I am here to encourage you and to walk with you as you break through these barriers. Stay focused, remain diligent, and keep your heart aligned with the teachings. Namo Amituofo.
