Amitabha Buddha's discourse:
Wealth and glory are what people in the world pursue, often accompanied by riches and status.
Having no lack in food, clothing, housing, and transport, and being prosperous,
is the manifestation of the karmic fruit obtained from cultivating Goodness and accumulating in the past;
yet it remains within impermanence and cannot be maintained forever.
This is the manifestation of the laws of and cause and effect, the universal principle, and the righteous path of Truth.
When good fruits manifest, one should continue to cultivate blessings and accumulate Goodness, allowing these blessings to be extended.
Practising Generosity (Giving) and doing good deeds are things that can and should be done.
If these blessings are exhausted, then suffering will manifest.
In this lifetime, one tastes the rewards of good and evil, and the fruits of suffering and happiness.
Do not settle comfortably into wealth and glory,
for this often creates the karma of falling into the hells.
When it is time to let go, let go; spend your time in Generosity (Giving) and in humility and modesty.
As for practice,
in a pure heart and few desires, one naturally has no cravings.
In following conditions and circumstances, one's words and actions are all for the sake of the multitude, without self and without selfishness.
Therefore, there is no manifestation of karma, and -Mind-Spirit gradually becomes pure.
If one can truly do this, there will come a time of becoming an awakened being.
In this world of impermanence,
only through meditative concentration of the Body-Mind-Spirit can one transform karma, and pass through life with a calm and peaceful heart.
In constant evolution,
seek to recover the true self/self-nature, so as to avoid creating the ten evils again and receiving the retribution of the three lower realms.
