Teachings by the Teacher. Recorded and transcribed by ’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe. 12 July 2026. Teachings by Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju: What should be let go of and not retained? One's own thoughts and actions that cause -Mind-Spirit to sink into creating must not be retained. If spiritual achievements regress rather than progress, and one creates the karma of the hells, one must be cautious and not retain such things. [[BLOCK_0]] Greed for wealth, greed for sensual pleasure, greed for fame, greed for food, and greed for sleep—none of these can be retained. Retaining them creates the karma of the hells. Greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, and doubt must also be let go of quickly; they must be severed and not retained. Greed for emotion, greed for love, greed for praise, and greed for bodily sensations—if one has not yet awakened, do not retain them. [[BLOCK_1]] People are often unable to control themselves due to the manifestation of karma. Do not retain people, matters, or things that cause the heart to tremble or feel fear. Retaining them harms the body and spirit, causes the heart to fluctuate, awakens frequently, allows attached spirits to enter the body repeatedly, and even allows demon crowds to enter and control one's Body-Mind-Spirit, leaving one unable to control oneself. Do not retain such things. [[BLOCK_2]] Anything that does not align with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, or does not align with Ethics and Morality, or is contrary to the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, must be let go of. Creating karma leads to retribution in the evil realms or the accumulation of sins that lead to the hells; do not lightly taste such suffering. [[BLOCK_3]] Fame, profit, status, and power make it difficult for the heart to be self-controlled and attract karmic creditors. Ego-attachment, self-views, strong subjectivity, a stubborn personality that refuses to admit mistakes, of sadness and grief, afflictions, delusions, discriminations, and attachments, as well as greed for sensual love and emotional entanglements, must all be abandoned and not retained. [[BLOCK_4]] Only by letting go can one attain a peaceful and calm heart, uphold the , and give rise to meditative concentration and wisdom. One should act accordingly immediately. [[BLOCK_5]] The true self is originally pure, empty, and clear, yet it can encompass all things. The : eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind entering must all be let go of. By not entering consciousness, one does not enter reincarnation. The Six Sense Organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind can function, which is their original, natural state. Namo Amituofo # #
