Awareness is an essential requirement for any practitioner who wishes to achieve spiritual success. Without this vital quality, one remains adrift in the cycle of rebirth. What exactly is this awakening? It is a state of profound, sensitive awareness. Those who are awakened can remain in sync with the true reality of all things, never deviating from the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. This awareness can only manifest after one has undergone the process of purifying , heart, and spirit.
The Buddha is the Great Awakened One, living a life of pure awareness. He is one who has realised his true nature, and he is one who has attained self-awakening and helps others to awaken; not only has he attained himself, but he is also capable of helping all beings to awaken. The Buddha is awake in every place, and every place is filled with his awakening; he is awake everywhere.
He is awake at all times, able to maintain this awareness in every moment, never separated from it for even a fraction of a second. Awakening arises from the heart, which then leads to action. One who acts with such self-awareness is truly a wise person!
When the Six Roots are pure and good, one can clearly understand all circumstances and conditions encountered. There are no obstacles; one can resolve difficult situations, bring light to dark places, and remove all barriers. Consider the profound benefits of this state:
Awakening is found in all matters; when encountering events, one can resolve them without confusion. Awakening is found at all times, transcending the limitations of time and space. It is a state of being that is found in the following qualities:
This awakening is also found within the core pillars of our practice: in the right faith and right understanding in Buddhist education, and in our Faith, Vows, and Practice. The heart of the awakened one is constant and unmoved; it does not rise and fall with the fluctuations of the external world. The awakened one understands the difference between the illusory and the real, is not deceived by illusions, and lives within the reality of the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. .
