Namo Amituofo provides the following discourse regarding the nature and location of the Buddha's power.

The Radiance of and the Conditions of Faith

Many practitioners ask: where does the Buddha's power truly reside? The Buddha saves beings not for His own sake, but out of infinite compassion. The Buddha's are bestowed upon those who align their lives with the path of . You receive the power of merit, majestic power, compassion, and the energy of the Buddha-light when you meet these conditions:

  • Diligent Practice: Every sound of the Buddha's name chanted with sincerity acts as a vessel for this power.
  • Purity of Heart: When your heart is pure and free from defilements, you become a clear mirror for the Buddha-light.
  • Alignment of Vows: When your heart, vows, and actions are in harmony with the Buddha, you draw closer to this infinite energy.
  • Receiving the Buddha-light: When you allow yourself to be bathed in the Buddha’s light, you open your spirit to receive transformative healing.

Where the Light of the Buddha Dwells

Where can you find this power in your daily life? It is not confined to a single place; it is woven into the fabric of your existence if you have faith. The Buddha's power manifests in many profound ways:

  • It resides within the mental notes of those who truly believe in the Buddha.
  • It is found in the act of generating and focusing your mind on chanting the name of Namo Amituofo.
  • It manifests when you perform , as the Buddha-light descends to guide suffering beings toward liberation.
  • It is present in the continuous chanting of the Buddha's name by those who have let go of all worldly attachments.

The Boundless Embrace of the Infinite

To the students of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, know that the Buddha's power is constantly bestowing blessings upon you. However, the extent to which you can absorb this power depends entirely on the depth of your faith and the diligence of your own practice. The more you exert yourself in your cultivation, the more you will benefit from these blessings.

This supreme method, which allows one to realise one's true nature and attain Buddhahood, is available to support all beings at every moment. Furthermore, the Buddha's power is not limited to the students of this centre alone. It extends throughout the entire universe, reaching the Earth, the Realm, the Milky Way, the heavens beyond the heavens, and even those beings who have fallen into demonic paths or exist in other forms. All are eligible to receive these blessings and be saved.

Awakening to the Western Pure Land

The Buddha's power is bestowed upon every being within the Western Land of Dharma Nature. It is the Buddha's sincere hope that by listening to the sutras and hearing the Dharma, you will be able to awaken your inherent wisdom. You must learn to let go of the past, live fully in the present moment, and make the firm vow to be reborn in the Western Pure Land. By chanting the Buddha's name with unwavering focus, you will find the path home.
