This is a record of an interview with Ximi, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon a deep, multi-lifetime connection between a pet and his owner. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on December 19, 2025.

Ximi speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. My dear master, you may not know the truth of our connection! I am no longer just a little dog. Today, I am filled with such immense . I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, this magnificent and beautiful world. It is entirely thanks to you, my master, that I have been granted this incredible opportunity. I went from being a small dog to arriving at the Western Land of Nature, where I regained my human form, and now, I am here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, dwelling alongside the Buddha!

A Debt of Eternal Gratitude

I am so deeply grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. The world they have established is truly beyond description—it is so beautiful, and it has saved so many beings. And to you, my master, I owe a debt of gratitude that I can never fully repay. But what I can say with certainty is this: you have encountered the Buddha, and you have already taken the first step. You must have faith in your future—in the future of your future. One day, you must return to this world, for if you continue to drift through the cycle of reincarnation, the suffering is simply too great to bear!

The Secret of Our Past

My master, there is so much you do not know. I was the little dog Ximi whom you cherished so dearly, but long before that, we were once a married couple—a pair that everyone admired and envied. However, after we were separated on the path of reincarnation, we wandered through many lives. In this recent life, I did not have a human body, so I came to you in the form of a little dog to stay by your side. I received your love and care, and those days were truly wonderful. It is no wonder you wept so bitterly when I passed away.

But since I have encountered the Buddha, I am not the same as I was before. I have been completely renewed; I have regained my masculine form, and I have grown tall and strong. I find that I am beginning to look more and more like the Buddha himself!

The Urgency of the Path

My master, I know that after I died, you were in great pain. I stayed by your side to comfort you because I felt your sorrow, too. But this was inevitable. After all, I was a dog; I could not live for very long. Whether I left sooner or later, we were destined to part ways eventually. Yet, our experience is quite unique. I have seen the Buddha before you, but you must follow in my footsteps. When your time comes, do not hesitate. You must grasp onto the six characters of 'Namo Amituofo'—hold onto them with all your might! Because there is no Buddha in the human realm, and to continue in the cycle of reincarnation is to live a life of unbearable suffering.

You must also hold firmly to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. Only here is there a Practitioner Su who can lead our spirits to the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and from there, to rebirth in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Such an opportunity will never come again in a thousand lifetimes! You must cherish this precious chance. Do not distance yourself from the Buddha just because you feel you are still young. Life is actually very short. While you possess a human body, I hope you will do as I am doing now: stay close to Namo Amituofo. Whenever you have time, chant the Buddha's name, listen to the Buddha-name, and listen to the Dharma talks given by Practitioner Su. These things will be of immense help to you. It was only after I reached the Western Land of Dharma Nature that I slowly began to understand these profound truths. Now, I am so much happier! I no longer feel sadness for the past.

A Final Plea

Well, Ximi hopes that you will chant the Buddha's name often. I am so grateful—so deeply grateful—for your kindness. The only way I can repay you is by hoping that you will chant this one phrase: 'Namo Amituofo.' I am so thankful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. Ximi has truly arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss!"

Namo Amituofo.
