This interview was recorded on March 6, 2026, at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. It features the spirit of the late Lay Practitioner Tie Dingguo, the father of Lay Practitioner Tie Jinxiu, who sought deliverance through the compassionate guidance of Practitioner Su and the power of Namo Amituofo. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Lay Practitioner Tie Dingguo speaks:

"Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, I, your disciple Tie Dingguo, kneel before the Buddha and Practitioner Su to offer my deepest gratitude! My face is already streaming with tears. They say that a man does not shed tears easily, but today, having encountered such a magnificent and auspicious event, I am overwhelmed. This is something I never even dared to imagine! It feels as if all the suffering I endured in the past has simply vanished, as if it never happened at all. Everything before my eyes—everything here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—is the only true reality, for I have finally arrived at the truly eternal Buddha-land. Everything feels like it happened just yesterday, but there is no need to look back on it anymore, is there?"

Reflections on a Life of Temper

"Speaking of looking back, perhaps some reflection is still necessary. I, Tie Dingguo, always considered myself a 'good man,' a man of character. I never once thought about what the world would be like after death; how could the word 'hell' have ever crossed my mind? I admit that I had a temper. When things did not go my way, I would always let those around me feel the heat of my anger. I truly did not know back then that this was wrong. I lived my life exactly as I pleased, without a care for the consequences, trapped within the confines of my own little world.

Now, as I look back, my purpose is not to dwell on my own faults, but to tell my child: your father's personality was flawed. You can tell whether a person's character is good or bad simply by looking at their health in their twilight years. In truth, almost everyone passes away due to illness. Most people, especially those suffering from severe diseases, are being visited by the they accumulated in past lives."

The Law of Cause and Effect

"Take my own case, for example. Because I was constantly angry, every single being who suffered because of my outbursts held a grudge and came looking for me. How could I not have fallen ill? I became sick and developed cancer, just like so many others. I have seen my own end, and I have seen theirs; it is almost always the same, and the three lower realms are inevitably involved. This is why a person must possess virtue. Our ancestors were right to teach us to be gentle, kind, respectful, frugal, and yielding. Those who can truly embody these virtues surely have no 'temper' to speak of; they are naturally well-educated from childhood, their mindset is upright, and they do not harbor evil thoughts—only good ones.

I hope my descendants can learn from my lessons. You must understand that a human body is not easily obtained. You must cherish this body and use it to its fullest potential! Look at the work Practitioner Su is doing; that is what it truly means to save the world."

A Daughter's Devotion

"Jinxiu, my child! Father is so grateful to you for performing for me. After all these years, you actually came to know Namo Amituofo and found the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre—the most magnificent place of practice. To be in a place where Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su reside—this is something your father never even dreamed of! I am so happy for you. The and stability in your heart are clear at a glance. I am simply happy; I see everything with joy, and I am happy now, just as I will be in the future. The past is in the past.

I fully support your filial piety and your unwavering heart toward the Buddha. You must continue to study the diligently. Even if you are practising as a lay practitioner at home, you can still adjust yourself, correct your faults, and fulfill your duties as a disciple of the Buddha."

A Final Blessing

"In closing, Father prays that you all may achieve spiritual success on the Buddha's path. The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is now my new home. I am eternally grateful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for their boundless .

Namo Amituofo."
