Recorded on June 9, 2023
This is a record of an interview with Xuexue, a cat who was saved through at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This interview was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Faxin, on June 9, 2023.
Xuexue speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. My dear owner, I am Xuexue. It is truly wonderful to be able to connect with you again. After I lost my physical life, I often found myself reminiscing about the days I spent curled up by your side. You would always stroke my fur, and that touch made me feel so warm and cherished. The way you looked at me—your eyes filled with such kindness—always gave me a profound sense of safety. In truth, I never wanted to be separated from you, but when my time in that life came to an end, I had no other choice but to move on.
A Bond Beyond the Physical Realm
I want to express my deepest gratitude to you for helping me receive Chao Du. Because of your , both Shupi and I have now arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This place is incredibly bright and magnificent, so beautiful that I could not help but begin to explore and play as soon as I arrived. However, I am no longer in the form of a cat. Through the infinite compassion of the Buddha, I have been transformed back into a human form to reside here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Before I was saved, I was actually in the court of Yama, undergoing interrogation and preparing to be reborn. According to the laws of and cause and effect, I was destined to return to the human world to live as a cat for several more lifetimes. It was a terrifying prospect, but thankfully, you intervened and saved me. Now, everything has changed. I am free from all illness and pain, and I am simply enjoying the blissful, carefree days here in the Western Land.
From the Yama's Court to the Western Land
I know that you still miss Shupi and me. The karmic connection we shared in this life is something I can only describe with the deepest gratitude. After experiencing the sublime beauty of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, my greatest wish is for you to join me here in this wonderful realm. Please know that Xuexue and Shupi are both here, waiting for you.
I have never been very good at expressing my , but I truly hope that you can understand my heart. Since arriving in the Western Land, I have occasionally looked back at the human world. Seeing the immense suffering that exists there has made me realise just how incredibly fortunate I am. Having witnessed the contrast between the two realms, I have made a firm decision to stay by the Buddha's side to learn and practise. I hope that in the future, I will have the opportunity to contribute my own strength to the work of salvation.
A New Form and a New Purpose
I know that seeing me like this must be very moving for you. I truly hope that you will not remain in the human world to suffer any longer. Please, remember to chant Buddha's name and follow the path of the Buddha. We will be reunited here in the Western Land in the future. Thank you so much for all the care you gave me; I will always remember it.
Waiting for Our Reunion
Namo Amituofo."
