This is a record of an interview with the spirit of Lay Practitioner Liang Jinying, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her life and her journey toward spiritual liberation. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on May 9, 2025.

Lay Practitioner Liang Jinying speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am so incredibly fortunate to have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! It is through the great of Practitioner Su that my spirit was guided back to this, my true home in the West. Only now, standing here, can I truly understand the depth of my gratitude as I offer my prostrations before the Buddha.

Reflecting on a Lifetime of

In this most recent life, I would like to think that my heart was not inherently bad. There were times when I genuinely wanted to help others, though my own capabilities were limited, and there was only so much I could do. However, when I look back at my past lives, I cannot guarantee that I was always a good person. I have seen the history of my previous incarnations, and my heart aches deeply, for I committed many regrettable deeds.

In order to protect myself, and in my desperate struggle to secure the wealth, fame, and status I craved, I committed many foolish acts. Each one of those foolish choices added to the heavy burden of karma I carried upon my soul. I created enmity with so many people, and for ages, they have been waiting for the opportunity to seek their revenge against me.

The Endless Cycle of Samsara

Throughout my many lives, this cycle of suffering never ceased, yet I never had the chance to truly wake up. I have realised that I am not alone in this; everyone is much the same. After the agony of each life, I would be reborn into the next, only to forget everything that had come before. Even after suffering the retributions of the hells, once I was reincarnated back into the human world, I would forget the lessons of the past. I would fall back into the same patterns, committing sins and falling once again into the cycle of rebirth.

Being human is truly a life of suffering. Now, as I look upon the people of the world, my heart is filled with such compassion and reluctance to see them struggle. I see my own relatives who are still living in the world, and their spirits are also suffering greatly, for their physical bodies act as a barrier to their . I long to help them, but I am unable to do so directly; now is not the time for me to intervene. I only hope that they can remember the Buddha, that they will chant Namo Amituofo diligently, and that they will never forget that only the Buddha has the power to save us all.

A New Beginning in the West

I am doing very well now. I am so happy here, and my heart is filled with such profound peace! I intend to let go of all the events of the past and start everything anew. I wish to learn the meaning of true compassion from the Buddha. Perhaps, in the future, I will have the opportunity to help all beings, including those who were once my . This is my heartfelt vow.

Finally, I want to express my deepest thanks to my relatives who are still in the world. Thank you for not forgetting me, and for providing the conditions that allowed me to be saved by Practitioner Su. I hope that you are all well, and I look forward to the day when we can be reunited in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Namo Amituofo.

Liang Jinying offers her prostrations."
