Pei Fu speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Pei Fu, a Westerner who has just arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. From the very depths of my heart, I am in awe of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su for establishing such a magnificent Buddha-land, providing a home for beings like us to go to. Therefore, I offer my most sincere gratitude to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su.
Before the Buddha, I knelt down with a truly sincere heart to repent and to express my deep gratitude. Of course, I am also incredibly grateful to my family member who sought Chao Du on my behalf—my granddaughter-in-law, Sun Fengge. She seems to have registered many of our relatives for Chao Du; this is truly a merit of immeasurable proportions! I never imagined she would possess such great . To be able to know of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia is, in itself, a truly remarkable thing. It is only here that I have come to realise that everyone who knows of this temple—especially those who can perform Chao Du for their families or enter here directly to practise—shares a profound karmic affinity with the Buddha.
A Granddaughter's and the Power of Chao Du
Think about it—there are so many bodhimanda in this world, so why is it that only this small group of people can wholeheartedly believe in everything that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre teaches? As for the people outside, some simply never have the opportunity to hear about our Buddha-work, while others hear it but remain dismissive.
From the to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I have spent my entire time in a state of wonder. I truly never imagined that such a world could exist. Filled with curiosity and a heart of gratitude, I have followed the Buddha every step of the way, not daring to hold onto any of my own personal or thoughts.
The Illusion of the Physical Body
At the moment I arrived at the Western -Nature Land, I was able to feel that this was the home my soul had been searching for all along. It was just that, in the space of suffering within this world, I had drifted and sunk for so long that the true voice of my spirit had been covered up by the various thoughts of the physical body.
I was exactly like that. Without purification, I fear I would never have been able to break free. But because I no longer have a body, things are actually much easier to manage. Previously, when I was burdened by , I thought and saw so many things, yet none of it was truly under my own control. Especially when I was old and fell ill, my entire being was completely covered by other beings. Every thought and feeling I had was being dictated by them. This is how I look back upon the time when I suffered from illness and eventually passed away.
The Truth Behind Illness and Suffering
After I died, I became a spirit wandering in space, but my body remained in a state of illness; I had not walked out of it. This was because I was too attached to the pain of that body. Even after death, I remained stuck in that state, unable to let go of that suffering, which is why I continued to endure the pain of illness in the spirit realm.
It was only after I arrived at the Western Dharma-Nature Land that I understood the truth of this reality. Looking back at myself at that time, I realised that every part of my body and every space around me was being controlled by other beings. What it means to be 'in control' is that they were able to dictate everything I thought and felt, while I foolishly believed it to be true—thinking those were my own genuine thoughts, feelings, and personality. Everyone must believe the words of the Buddha. No matter how much time passes, the words of the Buddha will never change, because they are the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way!
A Warning to the Living
Finally, I sincerely advise my family to speak out about some of the feelings of your own spirits. The spirit and the body are vastly different! Without the constraints of the body, everything I say now is truly from the heart, rather than what I said in the past, which was mostly the words of other beings speaking through me.
Do not be surprised by this. In fact, everyone is the same. As long as people in this world have not yet realised their true nature and attained Buddhahood, everyone is, to a greater or lesser extent, being controlled by other beings in their body, mind, and spirit. I sincerely wish for my family to continue, with a more ordinary heart, to help others and think of others in the days to come, to pass through this life, and eventually return to our true home: the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Path to Liberation
Chanting the Buddha's name is the most important lesson: keep the Buddha-name in your heart at all times, and at all times, resolve to protect the Buddha's teachings, pass them on, promote them, and spread the word about the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. Chant one Buddha's name to the end—it is as simple as Practitioner Su has said. Although it is simple, it is also very difficult. Everyone must gradually settle the heart, gather the mind, and no longer have any attachments to the outside world.
Having said all this today, I hope that my family and all those who have a karmic connection with me will not follow in my footsteps. I hope you can all walk toward a bright and luminous path, follow the Buddha, and honestly chant this Buddha-name!
Namo Amituofo.
Pei Fu"
