A Son's Message from the Western Pure Land
An Interview with the Spirit of Guan Wenhui
This is a record of an interview with Guan Wenhui, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his message to his family, recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on April 30, 2019.
Guan Wenhui speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. I am Guan Wenhui, your son, the one you loved the most. I remember how my intelligence and quick wit always brought you and made you proud. But those are things of the past now. I am doing very well here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! Mother, thank you. It was only because of your meticulous care that I grew up the way I did. I truly hope that you are living a happy life as well. Mother, Mother’s Day is approaching, and I want to say to you from here: 'Mother, Happy Mother’s Day!'"
A Son's Guidance for the Family
"Weiwei, I want to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day as well! I must ask you to take extra care of our mother. She is so important to us—without Mother and Father, we would not be here. The matter of performing one hundred sessions of Chao Du for Mother’s is of the utmost importance. You must ensure that Mother completes this. Only here, with Practitioner Su, can Mother truly be helped. You have come here yourself, and you have seen the truth of this with your own eyes. Please, do not let Mother worry about the expenses for these one hundred sessions. Make all the preparations for her; you could even consider it a Mother’s Day gift. This is the advice I am giving you, having seen the reality of things from the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I truly hope this fulfils Mother’s wishes."
A Message of Love and Responsibility
"Also, please convey a message to my dear wife: Happy Mother’s Day! Since I am no longer in the human world, she has had to shoulder the burden of raising our children alone. I have full faith that she will continue to nurture them and guide them well. Whether she believes that I am now in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss or not, please, I ask you to deliver this blessing to her."
Final Words of Filial Piety
"Mother, I have said enough for now. Oh, and please tell my children to be filial to their mother. Tell them to listen to her and grow up to be good children. Do not let Mother worry. I believe they are capable of doing this. Thank you! Mother, I truly hope that you will stop dwelling on the painful events of the past. Please, live a happier life. Only then can we here be at peace."
"Mother, please thank Practitioner Su on my behalf. It is because of Practitioner Su that we are able to live well and reach the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. You must follow Practitioner Su closely. Practitioner Su and Namo Amituofo can be your true refuge, so please set your heart at ease. If it is possible in the future, you could even stay here at the Mituo Village. You will never be lonely."
"Namo Amituofo."
