This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Cai Yanjuan, the grandmother of Lay Practitioner Cai Jinfu. She sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia and now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her transition and newfound peace. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on January 10, 2025.

Lay Practitioner Cai Yanjuan speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I have seen Namo Amituofo with my own eyes; I have truly arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I am filled with gratitude for Namo Amituofo, for Practitioner Su, and for all of you. I have finally reached the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Gratitude, endless gratitude.

The of Unimagined

I am so incredibly happy right now. How could I have such immense blessings to be able to come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! In the past, I simply did not understand. I lived my life day by day, never truly knowing that I should aspire to come here. I had heard the name, of course, but I did not know where this place was, what it looked like, or why one should even strive to reach the Western Land. I understood none of it. Now, to think that I have been guided here, that I no longer have to endure the cycle of being reincarnated—it is truly a profound blessing. I am so deeply grateful.

Cleansing the Spirit Through the

When I was listening to the Dharma at Practitioner Su’s centre, my spirit gradually became clearer and purer. Initially, my spirit was still a bit murky; it was not entirely clean. Perhaps this was because I still held onto attachments in my heart and had not yet fully let go of the past. However, at Practitioner Su’s centre, I listened to the Dharma every single day. The more I listened, the more awakened I became. When I looked back at my past, I realised that everything was truly illusory. Why had I been holding onto such false things in my heart for so long?

Letting Go of the Worldly Past

Once I no longer had a physical body, the past ceased to exist for me. Although my family members are still living in the world, I am now in a completely different realm from them. Whether they are doing well or struggling, there is nothing I can do to assist them directly. No matter how much I worry, it will not make their lives any better. If it were not for the clarity I gained at Practitioner Su’s centre, I would never have understood these truths. I might still be trapped in my attachments to the past.

A Message to My Grandson

I am so thankful to my dear, obedient grandson for saving me. He has the great blessing of being able to believe in the Buddha. However, if he could practise the Buddha’s teachings even more diligently, it would be even better, though I know it is difficult with the responsibilities of a family. I want to tell my grandson: you must chant Buddha's name more often. Do not overthink things. There are so many spirits attached to ; chanting Buddha's name helps these beings see the Buddha. It is good for them, and it is good for you as well.

A Life Renewed in Bliss

Right now, I am doing wonderfully. I have no illnesses whatsoever. My entire being feels so light, so joyful—it is as if I have become decades younger. I am so grateful, so very grateful!

Namo Amituofo.

Cai Yanjuan bows in reverence."
