Beyond the Earth: A Journey Through Outer Space

This is a record of an interview with Venerable Yongning, who reflects on the vastness of space beyond Earth and the profound spiritual deliverance conducted by Practitioner Su. He now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account was recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on October 12, 2022.

Venerable Yongning speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am Yongning. Recently, I had the opportunity to transcend the physical boundaries of Earth and venture into the vast, silent expanse of outer space. As I flew beyond our planet, I was struck by a profound sense of stillness. It was a silence so deep and absolute that it felt as though the entire universe was holding its breath. Yet, within this stillness, I realised that there are countless different spaces and powerful forces coexisting, hidden from the eyes of those still bound to the physical world.

The Silence of the Cosmos

I remained quiet, simply observing the magnetic fields within this immense space. It was truly extraordinary. I could sense that there were so many sentient beings residing in this cosmic void, each existing in their own unique state of being. Suddenly, the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su appeared, radiating a brilliant golden light and the resonant sound of the Buddha-name. As this golden light swept through the darkness, the entire space began to stir. Although the outward silence remained, I could feel that every spirit in that vast expanse had been awakened and was now in motion.

The Golden Light of Deliverance

I began to chant Namo Amituofo loudly, my voice echoing through the void. In response, a vast, uncountable number of sentient beings emerged rapidly from the shadows. One spirit, who appeared somewhat similar to a human but possessed a distinct, ethereal quality, approached me and asked, 'Is this the golden light that originates from your planet?' He was referring to Earth. I nodded in confirmation. He then asked, 'We passed by Earth several years ago and saw that it was on the brink of destruction. How is it that nothing has happened yet? Is it because of that golden light?'

A Question from the Stars

I did not fully understand everything this being from another star system was saying, as their nature is quite different from ours. However, I reflected on the Buddha’s teachings given by Practitioner Su. I recalled that there were many prophecies regarding the end of the world, yet through the continuous efforts of Chao Du, Earth has been saved. Perhaps this is exactly what this spirit was witnessing—the miraculous intervention of the Buddha’s light.

The Gift of Liberation

I began to teach these cosmic beings how to chant Namo Amituofo. Some of them were not merely beings from other planets, but spirits existing within this space who possessed a spiritual sensitivity far higher than that of humans. They have the ability to easily enter the human body, though they do not invade without cause; they simply remain within their own dimensions. When they heard my introduction to the Buddha’s teachings, they began to chant Namo Amituofo, sincerely seeking rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Under the guidance of Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body, these vast multitudes of spirits were all saved. For them, this was an incredibly unique experience. They had never imagined that they could attain true liberation. Overwhelmed with gratitude, they each expressed their thanks to Practitioner Su in their own unique ways, a sight that was truly moving to behold.
