On the twenty-seventh of December, 2025, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offered these profound teachings:
Time is divided into the three periods: the past, the present, and the future. Similarly, space encompasses the ten directions, which include the cardinal directions, the intermediate directions, as well as the zenith and the nadir:
When we contemplate the nature of existence, we realise that time is beginningless in the past and endless in the future. Space, in turn, is infinitely layered and boundlessly vast. Regardless of the specific time or location, there are always beings existing within these dimensions. Because every single being possesses their own three periods of time and ten directions of space, the number of beings and the number of spaces are truly countless.
You currently reside within the space of the present moment. However, as long as your thoughts continue to arise, this space will quickly be replaced by another. During your sleep or even during brief moments of rest, your spirit may be led by your karmic creditors into the countless spaces within your own body. This influence often leaves your spirit feeling dull, uneasy, and difficult to be clear.
In the past, you did not understand the truth of these facts or the existence of your true self. You never ceased your delusive thoughts, allowing them to fly around unchecked. Consequently, you spent your days trapped in delusion, discrimination, and attachment, letting your life slip away second by second within these various spaces. You allowed your karmic creditors and the power of your to manifest continuously, leaving you unable to take charge of your own life as you drifted through the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, death throughout your many lives.
In the past, you may have caused regrets in the lives of others, just as others may have caused defects in your own life. Everything that has occurred has unfolded according to the laws of karma and cause and effect. Now that you are engaged in practice, you have finally come to know the existence of your true self. Regardless of what happened in the past, you must now learn to let the past flow by, as if the clouds are light and the wind is gentle.
To view things as if the clouds are light and the wind is gentle is to understand that all phenomena arise from conditions, cease from conditions. When you no longer cling to the past, when you do not allow these memories to dwell in the mind, and when you let them leave no trace, you are engaging in true mental cultivation.
This mental cultivation can be formed through the continuous, resonant chanting of the Buddha-name. As you chant Namo Amituofo, let your practice be continuous. In this state of constant recitation, you will eventually reach a point where you no longer see the clouds or feel the wind. When your heart becomes perfectly pure and filled with Goodness, you will no longer perceive any external disturbances. There will only be the continuous, unbroken sound of the Buddha-name accompanying your heart. In this state, you will witness the illumination of the heart-light, which is the very moment of .
