This is a record of an interview with Wu Yali, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his life in his most recent human incarnation. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on January 9, 2026.

Wu Yali speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I was once known by the name Wu Yali, but today, I have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! It feels as if, in a single instant, the name I held in the human world has become entirely foreign to me. In truth, I have only just arrived here in this magnificent Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, yet for me, at this very moment, everything here feels profoundly familiar. I have been here before; I have resided in this place for a very long time. Returning once more to the land of Namo Amituofo, I, Wu Yali, am truly filled with gratitude—gratitude beyond words! I am so deeply thankful that Namo Amituofo did not abandon us, his children wandering in the six realms of existence. I am thankful for the guidance of Practitioner Su, and I am thankful for my wonderful daughter in the human world who performed the Chao Du for me, allowing me to reconnect with the Buddha once again!

The reason I say that my human name has become so strange to me is that, here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I have been able to witness my own past lives throughout your many lives. I have held so many names, countless names, that when I look back upon the life of Wu Yali—my final human existence—it suddenly feels incredibly insignificant. Although I had drifted into a rather unfortunate place after my passing, that memory, too, has been washed away. After being illuminated by the Buddha’s light, I have been completely renewed; I have been purified to such an extent that the past is no longer worth mentioning."

The Blessing of a Daughter's Filial Piety

"In this lifetime, I did not live very close to the Buddha, but my daughter was far more fortunate than I. She had the rare opportunity to personally come to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. When I was in the Western Land of Nature, after I had regained my clarity, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this. She was saved, and through her, she was able to save her family members from the past. What a magnificent and extraordinary thing that is! Her mother was the same; today, at the very same time, we were both taken by the hand by Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and in an instant, we were brought into the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

My dear daughter, you performed the Chao Du for us, and we have received your filial heart. We are so very grateful, for such an opportunity is not easily found. Look at Singapore, such a small country, yet it is quite populous. However, among all those people, how many truly know of Namo Amituofo and the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre? From what I can see, it is fewer than ten people! You possess such a tremendous blessing; you must cherish it! You are different from us—you still have your physical body. Although your body has begun to age and suffer from illness, there is still time. As long as you are willing to work alongside the Buddha—which is to say, to propagate the teachings of Namo Amituofo, the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and the work of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre—then you are a good child of Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo has been bestowing his upon you all along! This is something I have seen with my own eyes while in the Western Land of Dharma Nature."

A Message of Hope

"My daughter, you are a wonderful daughter. If there was anything I did poorly in the past, I hope you will not hold it in your heart. Please tell everyone that your father is now living a truly wonderful life; everyone should be happy for me. Only after arriving here did I realise that when one possesses a human body, nothing is truly within one's own control. Even our thoughts, our , and our intentions are often things we cannot master. That is why I say you are so fortunate. You know the treasure of the Dharma. Although your foundation in the Buddha’s teachings may not be very deep, and you may not delve into complex sutras, as long as you are willing to believe in the Buddha and are willing to chant Namo Amituofo, you are saved!"

The of the Western Pure Land

"Well, I have said all this simply because I want to express how precious Namo Amituofo and the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre truly are! Your father is living even better here in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss; this place is far more comfortable than even the highest heavens. If I am not speaking to you, I have nothing to worry about. I am completely at ease, feeling so cool and refreshed. Even the breeze that drifts by is filled with the joy of the Dharma, because this world is truly devoid of even a shred of suffering. There is only happiness, only the joy of the Dharma.

Alright, everyone, remember to keep chanting Namo Amituofo! Namo Amituofo!

Namo Amituofo.

Words of Wu Yali"
