The Nature of Reckless Action

Do not act recklessly. The term "reckless" refers to that which is empty and unreal; it is not the truth, and it deviates from the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. When we speak of "reckless action," we are describing behaviours that arise from arrogance, conceit, and an excessive reliance on one's own limited . Such actions are inherently false and hollow, leading one further away from the path of wisdom and into the shadows of confusion.

The Mechanics of Delusion

The Five Aggregates (form, feeling, perception, impulse, ) are the foundation of our physical existence. When this body experiences sensations, they enter our consciousness, and from there, delusions begin to sprout. If you do not immediately halt these delusions, they quickly transform into reckless thoughts and reckless actions, ultimately resulting in the creation of heavy karmic sins. This entire process is governed and influenced by the weight of your past .

The Clarity of the Awakened

Those who act recklessly fail to recognise the true reality of existence. Because they are influenced by the and the , they are easily swayed by . Consequently, they sow the seeds of negative causes, which inevitably lead to the suffering of , affecting both , the mind, and the spirit.

In contrast, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and those who have transformed their karma to realise their true self see the world clearly. Because they understand the true reality of existence, they are no longer influenced by the Five Poisons, the Five Desires, or the Six Dusts. They do not sow the seeds of negative causes and, therefore, do not suffer the pain of karmic retribution. This highlights the vital importance of recognising the truth and seeking to return to your original, true self.

The Consequences of a Disturbed Spirit

For those who act recklessly, if there is still a trace of goodness within, the heart will feel a sense of unease. This internal discord causes both the body and the spirit to suffer, manifesting as physical illness, the pain of ageing, and a profound sense of spiritual instability. Furthermore, through every thought and intention, one may inadvertently sow negative causes that attract , other suffering beings, and even demon crowds to enter the body and attach themselves to the spirit.

Remember that the suffering you cause others through your actions today is a debt that you will inevitably have to bear in the future. This is the immutable law of and the causes and effects.

Walking the Righteous Path

Do not act recklessly. Instead, you must strive to live your life according to the following foundations:

  • Follow the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way in all that you do.
  • Uphold the principles of Ethics and Morality in your daily conduct.
  • Listen deeply to the teachings provided by Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and the guidance shared by Practitioner Su.

By aligning your life with these sacred teachings, you will find the strength to leave suffering behind and walk firmly upon the path of .
